Jamie Foxx is not becoming an empty nester quite yet.
Jamie, the actor known for playing Spider-Man, and his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp are expecting their first child together, TopMob News reported on May 12th. This will be Jamie’s third child overall.
Jamie and Alyce have reached a new relationship milestone, over a year after getting back together in April 2025. They had briefly split up in January 2025, but had been dating since confirming their relationship in August 2023.
Though they’ve kept their relationship mostly private – rumors began in 2022 when she joined him at the premiere of his Netflix film, Day Shift – it’s not surprising they’re starting a family. Jamie already has two daughters, 32-year-old Corinne with Connie Klein and 17-year-old Anaelise with Kristin Grannis, and has often spoken about how much fatherhood means to him.
Jamie Foxx’s health issues became clearer after he experienced a serious stroke in 2023 caused by a brain bleed.
Jamie described the way we experience life today as being like using a filter on a phone camera. “Just like a filter brightens a photo, everything feels altered,” she told TopMob News at the 2025 Golden Globes.
The 58-year-old shared that his brush with death led him to embrace the familiar saying, ‘Live each day as if it were your last.’
He reflected that he cherished these times, explaining that his daughters, Corinne Marie and Anelise, had given him the strength to get through a difficult period. He expressed gratitude that it was finally over.

A few months later, when recalling the experience, Jamie praised his daughters for being so strong and brave while he was sick. He especially commended his older daughter, Corinne, who married Joe Hooten in 2024.
He shared with Us Weekly that Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Marie Foxx, shielded him from public view during a difficult time, taking care of him and ensuring his privacy.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.
She explained that many girls are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of growing up and being female. This often leaves them dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t tweeted recently. Suki jokingly replied, explaining she’d been secretly dealing with a hernia caused by wearing very tight pants six months prior, and hadn’t felt comfortable sharing it.

Oh my gosh, I was SO worried when I heard! Apparently, back in April 2025, my absolute favorite, a former star of Beverly Hills, 90210, had to have emergency surgery! His appendix was, like, this close to bursting, and I was just a mess until I found out he was recovering. I’m just so glad he’s okay!
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained he had a perforated appendix – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to it.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 still cause him problems now.
“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I experience spasms throughout my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—just within the last year.”
He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite working as it should.

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital in extreme back pain, reportedly crawling because it hurt so much. The pain flared up during a road trip with a friend while they were traveling in an RV.
Okay, so I was listening to his Trading Secrets podcast from March 2025, and he was talking about this insane thing! He said his knees still feel all tingly, which is wild. He put it in perspective – apparently just a few weeks ago, maybe a month, he was squatting almost 300 pounds! But now? He literally can’t even do a squat, can’t even balance on one foot without falling over. He said it feels like he had a stroke, which is terrifying! I’ve replayed that part like a million times, it’s just… unbelievable. I’m seriously worried about him!
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter, from The Real Housewives of Orange County, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a clay pigeon shooting trip when the incident occurred.
In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. Brendan Rooney quickly helped her, evaluated her injuries, and drove her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet came dangerously close to her right eye—less than an inch away.
The former Kim Possible star explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind her eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, and they’ll continue to watch her condition, as her vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared her deep love for her daughters, husband, family, and friends, explaining that she’d had a moment where she realized how precious life is. She urged everyone to cherish their loved ones and hug them often, because things can change so quickly.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its downsides, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing comments about her “puffy” face following some interviews, she was surprised to see doctors commenting, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out changes in her appearance that concerned them, leading Amy to realize she had been receiving steroid injections for procedures like a breast reduction and C-section. These injections, she learned, had caused the syndrome – something she wouldn’t have known about without the online attention. Amy recently shared that she’s relieved to have a form of Cushing syndrome that will resolve on its own and that she’s healthy.

During a game in December 2024, an AHL player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald told ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially struggling to respond when Justin asked if she was okay. She then realized she couldn’t speak, and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although her speech and facial movement eventually returned, Hailey went to the hospital where doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which they diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had passed through this hole and traveled to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also went through a difficult time. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, causing paralysis. He showed fans that he couldn’t blink, smile, or move his nostril on the affected side, and that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat. Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away.
Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better. She described the situation as scary and unexpected, but reassured everyone that he would be completely fine and that she was thankful he was on the mend.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day and lost consciousness before he could take an aspirin. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
He initially saw a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, took him to the hospital when she became worried. Doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, she remembers only darkness, followed by light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
Honestly, it was terrifying. She said her body was just… failing. She didn’t even know what was happening – it turned out she had this thing called rhabdomyolysis, and apparently, it’s your body’s way of basically giving up. Like, it’s a signal that everything is about to shut down. I was so worried listening to her describe it!

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently.
Though she left the hospital after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, causing a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, is thankful for the support of her family. In January 2024, she experienced a serious stroke and her loved ones immediately came to her side. Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. While she could have gone home after the stroke, she was also dealing with lupus and kidney problems.
Today, Cori is recovering well. She says she’s doing great and is working on regaining some motor skills, but is otherwise feeling fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours – and persistent stomach pain. She described a confusing process of receiving conflicting diagnoses from various doctors.
Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has a background in herbalism and holistic health, sought a combination of traditional medical doctors and alternative healers. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.
Ultimately, Woodley’s health improved, and she is now very healthy and happy to share that she has resolved the issues she faced.
