Season 3 of The Walking Dead: Dead City is coming soon, and we now have the official release date for viewers in the US.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Jeffery Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan are back for another season of the spin-off, premiering on July 26th on both AMC and AMC+.
We don’t have a confirmed UK release date yet, but it will likely be available a couple of months after it launches in the US, similar to past seasons.
Viewers have gotten a sneak peek at season 3, including a short trailer and some exciting action scenes. The cast has hinted that a major surprise is in store this time.
This season will include an episode set in a different version of New York City – one where the usual post-apocalyptic dangers and walkers aren’t present.

This season, Maggie and Negan will finally start working together as genuine allies.
Morgan teased to EW: “We needed this relationship to move on between Maggie and Negan.
I really wanted her to feel differently, but despite Negan repeatedly saving her and her child, she still couldn’t stand me. I think everyone involved just wanted to put the conflict behind them. It wasn’t about holding a grudge or waiting for an opportunity to retaliate; it was more than that.

As a huge fan of the show, I was really excited to hear Lauren Cohan talk about Maggie and Negan. She said this season marks a total fresh start for them – a real turning point. We’ve seen little hints and attempts at them working together before, but this time it’s actually happening, and it feels genuinely new and different. It’s a big moment for both characters, and I can’t wait to see how it plays out!
As for whether this newfound friendship will last, only time will tell…
The new season of The Walking Dead: Dead City premieres on AMC and AMC+ on July 26th. You can currently stream the first two seasons on Sky and NOW.
