Xbox Game Pass Adds 3 New Day One Games Including New #1 Seller

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members on Xbox Series X and PC now have three new games to play on their first day of release, including a huge hit from 2026 that already sold two million copies in just half a day. However, these new games aren’t available for those with the standard Game Pass or Premium subscriptions.

The three new games added to Xbox Game Pass aren’t staying permanently because they weren’t made by Xbox Game Studios. We don’t know how long they’ll be available on the service, or if they’ll eventually be added to the Premium tier. However, while they are available, Game Pass subscribers can buy each game with a 20% discount.

Subnautica 2

The highly anticipated sequel to the underwater survival game Subnautica, titled Subnautica 2, was released this week by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. This is the third installment in the series, following the original Subnautica (2018) and the standalone expansion Subnautica: Below Zero (2021). The game has quickly become a success, selling two million copies in just 12 hours – making it one of the biggest game launches of 2026 and the best-selling title on Steam right now.

I’m really excited about Subnautica 2, but just a heads-up, it’s still in early access right now. That’s probably why it doesn’t have a Metacritic score yet. The good news is, if you have a PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can play it on your PC or Xbox Series X!

Call of the Elder Gods

Call of the Elder Gods is an adventure game and a follow-up to Call of the Sea, which came out in 2020. It was created by Out of the Blue and published by Raw Fury, and critics have given it a score of 80 on Metacritic.

You can play it on Xbox Series X and PC, and it’s included with both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Outbound

Outbound is an open-world game created by Square Glade Games and published by Silver Lining Games. However, it hasn’t been well-received, earning a score of 65 on Metacritic.

A new game has been added to Xbox Game Pass and is playable on both PC and Xbox Series X. It’s available with all Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscriptions.
