Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had slime on the brain for their son RZA‘s birthday.

The couple marked their 4-year-old’s birthday with a fun celebration at the Sloomoo Institute, a unique slime museum in New York City, on May 13th, surrounded by loved ones.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky celebrated their son Riot’s second birthday with a huge party, renting out the entire venue just for the occasion, according to People magazine. They are also parents to 8-month-old daughter Rocki.

Guests at the unique party enjoyed hands-on activities like playing with slime, exploring interactive exhibits, and even making their own custom slime, all surrounded by elaborate balloon decorations, according to a representative from the venue. The highlight of the event was experiencing the museum’s famous ‘Sloomoo Falls,’ where attendees were playfully covered in slime.

Rihanna, age 38, also joined in the playful activity. A representative from the Sloomoo Institute said the “Love on the Brain” singer fully participated, even getting covered in gallons of slime while standing under the venue’s famous slime waterfall.

Videos shared online showed Rihanna wearing a full-length, clear plastic poncho – she could have definitely used an umbrella! Despite the weather, the party was a joyful celebration of RZA’s birthday. A$AP Rocky was seen lovingly holding RZA and their son Riot, while Rihanna cradled Rocki as everyone sang “Happy Birthday.” The video ended with the couple helping RZA blow out the candles on his slime-covered cake.

Rihanna and A$AP welcomed their first son, RZA, in 2022, and have since expanded their family with the birth of their son Riot in 2023 and daughter Riot in 2025.

Although Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had been friends for years, their relationship didn’t become romantic until the COVID-19 pandemic, but Rihanna always sensed there was a special connection between them.

In a 2024 interview, Rihanna explained that she allowed herself to fully trust her partner. She shared that, unlike past relationships where she constantly tried to make things work, she finally felt seen, believed in, and valued as a potential mother. This feeling of complete acceptance was incredibly empowering for her.

She added, “I felt the same about him. I knew he would be a great dad.”

Rihanna said she’s open to having as many children as fate allows with A$AP Rocky.

Eventually, she had to tell them, and they were just as surprised as the rest of the world when she announced she was expecting her first child.
