Following its troubled debut and speculations about significant staff reductions, Build A Rocket Boy has postponed the release of MindsEye’s Hitman collaboration to a later, undetermined date. Originally planned for this month, the game will now be delivered when the circumstances are ideal, and they will share further information as soon as possible.
The announcement also verified that future updates might be less regular following the release of three performance enhancements for consoles and PC last month. The next update, planned for August, includes more performance optimizations, bug fixes, and optional cutscenes. Additionally, content created by users in PlayMindsEye will immediately be accessible to PC users.
In September, Update 5 becomes active, offering further performance boosts. Additionally, it will encompass several refinements to the fundamental gameplay elements.
Although MindsEye hasn’t given any updates on its forthcoming content yet, it seems reasonable to infer that the anticipated fresh missions, single-player options, multiplayer features, and significant storyline in the Starstream universe have been postponed. The impact on Premium Pass holders, who were expecting exclusive missions, is still unclear.
MindsEye can be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. However, it’s been critically panned as one of the worst-rated games of 2025. If you’re curious about our take on it, feel free to explore our review here.
