Love Is Blind’s Marissa George Marries D. Johnson After Perfect Match

Marissa George found her perfect match in the most unexpected place.

Just hours after the season four finale of Perfect Match aired on May 27th—where the lawyer ended the show in a relationship with DeMari Davis—she announced that she had recently married her ex, D. Johnson.

I’ve been following George and his partner’s story for years, and it’s so heartwarming to see them finally together! He recently shared with People magazine that, for the past thirteen years, they just kept finding their way back to each other. Whenever either of them was single, they’d reconnect, and it was always obvious their feelings were still there. Apparently, even their friends always knew they were meant to be, saying if the timing was ever right, they’d definitely end up together. It’s just a beautiful story!

The reality TV star, who called off her engagement with Ramses Prashad on season seven of Love Is Blind, shared that she and Johnson actually dated for a short time back in 2013. They reconnected after her time on the show ended.

Looking back on their breakup from 13 years ago, she explained that they were too young and lived too far apart for the relationship to work. However, after years of wondering ‘what if,’ they realized the connection was strong enough to overcome the distance and decided to give it another try.

After filming for Perfect Match finished in November 2025, she shared that she and Davis had decided to break up privately.

We realized we were better off as friends and decided to end things that way,” she explained in an interview with Tudum on May 27th. “We talked shortly after, but ultimately agreed to remain friends and cherish the time we’d shared.

George, age 34, and Johnson, 39, got back together and became engaged in February. They then had a private wedding ceremony with family and friends in Savannah, Georgia, in March.

The couple opted for a cozy, intimate wedding, which felt just right for them. George is also planning a larger party sometime in the future to celebrate with everyone.

She shared on Instagram that having her parents present for this special occasion meant the world to them. She described the moment as calm, meaningful, and a genuine reflection of who they are as a couple and where they are in their lives. They’re planning a larger wedding next year to celebrate with all of their family and friends.

Davis, known from season six of Too Hot to Handle, is now looking for a serious relationship and is ready to settle down with the right person.

I’m looking for my future wife in the next person I date,” the 29-year-old shared with Tudum. “I’m now being much more careful and deliberate when getting to know potential partners, with the idea of marriage in mind.”
