Production is underway on Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again, and it’s already generating a lot of excitement for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans were thrilled to learn that the original Defenders team from the old Marvel Netflix shows will be back. This includes Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones and Mike Colter as Luke Cage, who both appeared briefly in Season 2, along with Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist.
The return of The Defenders is a key part of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, but the season will feature much more. Several important characters from the past will be back with new and interesting situations, and the story of Dex Poindexter, also known as Bullseye (played by Wilson Bethel), will continue to unfold.
Bullseye New Costume Teased for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3

Wilson Bethel is returning as Bullseye in the third season of Daredevil: Born Again, and he’s gearing up for action! He shared a photo on Instagram showcasing Bullseye’s updated costume, including new gauntlets and layered black and gray armor featuring the character’s iconic bullseye logo. He captioned the post “Stepping out. #S3” and included the song “Steppin Out” by Big Gipp.
Dedicated Marvel comic book fans have been vocal about how the character Bullseye has been portrayed in both the Netflix series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the Netflix show Daredevil Season 3, the actor playing Bullseye largely pretended to be Daredevil. And in Seasons 1 and 2 of Born Again, Bullseye wore a tactical suit that appeared to be self-made. Fans have consistently pointed out that Bullseye’s costumes in these adaptations haven’t resembled his comic book appearances. While a recent hint from a creator doesn’t guarantee a completely comic-accurate costume, it suggests a significant improvement over what we’ve seen so far.
Why Bullseye Needs A Superhero Costume Upgrade

In the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, Dex (Bullseye) underwent a major transformation. While Wilson Fisk was mayor, Dex started believing his personal fight against the Kingpin made him a hero. However, his actions weren’t heroic, especially when he caused Vanessa Fisk’s death. Despite his own issues with Dex, Daredevil showed him mercy, ultimately leading Dex to become a complex antihero – someone willing to use his skills and violent tendencies to fight against the Kingpin’s organization. Dex even saved Governor McCaffrey from an assassination attempt, which caught the attention of influential people in the government.
Dex was last known to be working for Charles, a CIA agent connected to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who orchestrates events around the world. Season 2 of Born Again hinted that Valentina uses super-powered people like Luke Cage for secret, and often unpleasant, tasks. Now, Bullseye is her new hitman, and he seems much better suited for the job than Cage was.
Now that Dex is transitioning from a street-level vigilante in New York City to a government-backed international assassin, a new costume is essential. Fans are hoping his new suit will reflect his new sponsors – the same ones behind the Thunderbolts and New Avengers – and that we’ll see some impressive action scenes. Many Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are also excited about the upgraded look of Bullseye in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, as it suggests Dex might appear in the MCU films, potentially leading to a crossover with the Thunderbolts characters, mirroring the comic books.
