EastEnders saw a lot of change in its latest episode, with four characters saying goodbye to Albert Square. It seems like things are really heating up in Walford!
Things have been eventful in Walford this week! Whitney Dean returned after two years away and surprised her ex-fiancé, Zack Hudson, by revealing she’s now in a relationship with someone else.
Seeing that, I really felt for him as he tried to reconnect with Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig). It was heartbreaking, though, because she gently let him know she was committed to Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) and planning a future with him.
Zack hinted to Ross that Vicki was being unfaithful again, but Ross quickly understood Zack was actually talking about his own actions. During the wedding ceremony, Ross directly asked Vicki if the accusation was true.
Her silence spoke volumes, and things really exploded today. Ross stormed out of the tent while Vicki was trying to explain what happened, and immediately punched Zack in the face.
Sharon Watts, recently returned to the show, was shocked by the unfolding events. When Kim Fox told everyone what was happening, Sharon immediately went to find Ross, hoping he would change his mind. Ross explained that while he was upset, he understood why Vicki had acted the way she did.
As many viewers remember, their relationship started with an affair while she was living in Australia with Spencer Moon.
Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) drove by in a taxi, explaining he hadn’t been able to make the wedding. He was heading to Scotland to support his grandchildren, who were still grieving after their father, Anthony, was murdered over Christmas.
The neighborhood came together as the wedding celebration began. Before the party got underway, Sharon chatted with Phil Mitchell, apologizing for not being there to support him while Nigel Bates was struggling with dementia.
She expressed how much she missed the area and planned to move back for good within a month, once she finished up some things in America. Unfortunately, she had to leave sooner than expected to get her son, Albie, settled for the night before their flight.
Several important people were missing from the event. Meanwhile, Priya Nandra-Hart was shocked when her former boyfriend, Ravi Gulati, unexpectedly appeared at their apartment after being released from a mental health facility.
She hadn’t seen a letter he’d sent, so she was completely surprised to find him there, preparing to leave and start a new life. They were immediately drawn to each other and ended up spending the night together.
She realized he was leaving when she saw him packing a suitcase, and understood he hadn’t even read her message. Priya burst into tears, pleading with him not to go, and warned him that if he left, their relationship would end.
Unfortunately, he took that decision, believing his family would be better off without him.
Denise Fox (Diane Parish) wasn’t around for the unfolding drama because she was at the hospital undergoing bone marrow tests. She’d been feeling unusually tired for a while, and her doctor wanted to run more tests to find out why.
Honestly, the whole day felt off – she kept coming up with reasons why she couldn’t really be with her family. Then, out of nowhere, this doctor pulled her aside, into his office, and dropped the bomb – she has blood cancer. It was just… awful timing, being separated from everyone when she got that news.
