Frontier has revealed Planet Zoo 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to their successful zoo simulation game.
Although we haven’t seen actual gameplay yet, the new trailer gives us a good sense of the game’s positive and uplifting atmosphere.
Planet Zoo 2’s biggest new features are aviaries and aquariums, letting you add a wide variety of birds and aquatic creatures to your zoo.
Plus, the game isn’t limited to zoos – you can also create wildlife reserves where animals can live and roam freely in natural habitats.
If you’ve enjoyed games like Planet Coaster or other “tycoon” style games, you’ll quickly understand how this game works. You start by building a zoo and expand it over time, adding new animals, habitats, and things to do as your profits grow.
I really enjoyed Planet Zoo on my PS5, and I’m hoping the next game builds on everything that was great and adds a ton of new stuff. Fingers crossed it’s even better!
It’s due out on 13th October 2026, so there’s only a few months to wait.
