Star Wars Jedi 3 Features an Older Cal Kestis, Entered Production “Right After” Survivor – Rumor

Although Respawn Entertainment didn’t make any announcements on May the 4th, details about the next Star Wars Jedi game have surfaced. According to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, who discussed it on a recent podcast, the third game—following 2023’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor—will likely feature a more mature Cal Kestis.

I remember hearing that the story might be set a while after the previous game, with Cal being a bit older. It wouldn’t be surprising, though, considering the last game ended five years earlier and Cal was already exhausted from fighting the Empire.

Henderson clarified that the character won’t be depicted as very old – not to the point where they’d need a Lightsaber to help them walk. He acknowledged Yoda was an exception, but emphasized they’re aiming for a more capable portrayal.

It’s unclear when we’ll hear more about the sequel, with several gaming events coming up. Jeff Grubb from Giant Bomb recently mentioned on his podcast that development on the third game started almost immediately after the second one, with the team intending to create a complete trilogy from the beginning.

This doesn’t give us a specific date, but it’s good news for fans who want to see what happens next with Cal – his story will continue (and potentially reach a conclusion), as Lucasfilm and Disney recently confirmed. We’ll share more details about when to expect it as soon as they’re available.
