Nearly a year has passed since the first film in the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trilogy premiered in Japan. Originally released in July 2025, it became available internationally in September. The story takes place within the Infinity Castle, a fortress created by the demon Nakime using her unique abilities. All the Demon Slayers are trapped inside this endless maze and must battle the demons within, including Mitsuri Kanroji. As the Love Hashira, Mitsuri is a fan favorite and plays a key role in the climactic fight against the demons.
Though she doesn’t have a central role at the beginning, this character will become very important to the story. To celebrate her birthday on June 1st, a beautiful new image of her has been released by the anime’s official website. The artwork shows her in a cute, simplified style, wearing a light outfit and holding flowers. The pink and green colors in the background match her character’s design. Plus, Ufotable, the animation studio, is also advertising new merchandise inspired by her birthday illustration, which you can find on their online store.
Mitsuri Has a Crucial Role in Demon Slayer‘s Final Battle

Mitsuri, known as the Love Hashira, showed off her strength during the Swordsmith Village Arc and even unlocked a powerful new ability, the Demon Slayer Mark. Despite being incredibly strong, she’ll face serious challenges from the Upper Rank Demons and Muzan Kibutsuji. Early in the current conflict, she teamed up with Obanai Iguro to fight weaker demons. However, the fortress they’re in is extremely dangerous, and the Demon Slayers won’t stand a chance as long as Nakime remains a threat.
During the fight in the Infinity Castle, Mitsuri and Obanai will face off against Upper Rank Four, and they’ll receive surprising assistance from Yushiro. But even if they defeat Nakime, the battle won’t be over, as Muzan remains incredibly powerful. Though Tamayo risked her life to weaken him with a special drug, Muzan still possesses enough strength to overwhelm the entire Demon Slayer Corps.
Mitsuri, like all dedicated Demon Slayers, fights bravely until the very end, playing a key role in securing victory. While we’re still waiting for news about the next part of the story, a movie is likely to be released next year. Now that the first film has finished its run in theaters, it will soon be available to watch online. Fans can already stream all seasons of the anime and the ‘Mugen Train’ movie on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
