This year, Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump has already ended five popular manga series, and plans to cancel more throughout the month, with new series in the works. The magazine is launching a summer schedule of new titles, but to make space, older series are being discontinued. Unfortunately, some of these series won’t have a proper conclusion.
This month, Shonen Jump has already canceled one series, Alien Headbutt, and more are expected to follow. As three new series are set to launch next week, two current series will be ending to make room. Shueisha has revealed a preview of the upcoming titles, giving fans a hint of what’s to come.
Shonen Jump Reveals First Look at New June 2026 Series

In June, Shonen Jump will launch three new manga series, including some by familiar creators hoping for another hit. The first, Animal Signal, will appear in the June 8th issue. It’s a collaboration between writer Robinson Haruhara, known for Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess, and artist Taishi Tsutsui, the creator of We Never Learn: BOKUBEN (whose previous series was unfortunately cancelled last year). Two more new series are planned for release later in the month.
The creator of Green Green Greens, Terasaka Kento, is returning to the magazine with a new series called HAL FORUMLA, shortly after their previous work was cancelled. This will be followed by the debut of Canon Master by Reiya Machida. The latest issue of the magazine offers a sneak peek at all three series, but to make room for them, two currently running series will end in the next two weeks. It’s still uncertain which series those will be.
What’s Ending Next in Shonen Jump?
The future of several series in Shonen Jump is uncertain. Either two more titles might be cancelled, or two long-running series could be finishing up. While newer series like Under Doctor and Kinato’s Magic are potentially at risk, they currently seem to be developing new storylines without any immediate indication of ending, similar to how other cancelled series this year wrapped up quickly (like Alien Headbutt). It’s more probable that a series that has been running for a while will conclude its run.
Several manga series are nearing their end, including Witch Watch, Sakamoto Days, Hima-Ten!, and Blue Box, which are all currently wrapping up their final storylines. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi recently finished a big battle and might also conclude soon, potentially within the next two weeks. However, Blue Box is currently the most likely candidate to finish first – it just feels like it’s heading that way.
