EMPULSE Looks Very Titanfall-Esque in New Cinematic Trailer, Gameplay Reveal Set for June 7th

I’m so hyped for 1047 Games’ new shooter, EMPULSE! They’ve said it’s coming to early access in 2026, and we’re finally getting a real look at the gameplay on June 7th – I’m guessing we’ll see it at either the Xbox Games Showcase or the PC Gaming Show. Until then, they did release a cool cinematic trailer made with the actual game engine, so you can check that out now!

Fans of Titanfall will instantly recognize the fast-paced action, including wall-running, grappling, and aerial combat in a futuristic city. During gameplay, the player uses a P.A.I.N.T. bomb, which appears to allow for longer slides, helping them dodge enemy snipers. Meanwhile, one of the game’s massive mechs is charging up, ready to unleash its power.

There seems to be more than one type of these mechs, each with unique skills. You won’t destroy enemies to get them, though. Instead, mechs will appear on the map, and players will fight to take control. They can be incredibly powerful, turning the tide of battle, but they also make you a very visible target if you’re not careful.

It seems likely that 1047 Games will include a game mode similar to the original Titanfall, but we’ll find out for sure when EMPULSE launches into early access on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
