Now that the 25-year-old won’t be looking for love at the Fiji villa this summer, another contestant will be taking her place.
Peacock confirmed to NBC News that actor Chrisley Montgomery was removed from the show just two days before its eighth season began, after videos alleging misconduct reappeared. The streaming service stated these videos hadn’t been publicly available when the cast was originally announced.
Videos circulating on social media appear to show Montgomery using a racial slur. One clip shows her saying the slur while playing an arcade game, and another shows her using it while rapping along to a song in a car.
Before videos of her began circulating online, the entrepreneur – who revealed on May 28th that she’d be joining Love Island USA – shared why she believed she was a good fit for the dating show.
In a preview clip, she confidently stated, ‘I’ve got it all going on – I run my own business, I live independently, and I have a dog.’ She added with a laugh, ‘My friends would say I’m open to dating anyone, anywhere – they’d point to a world map to show you how broad my tastes are!’
Besides those already mentioned, the remaining contestants are Beatriz, Trinity, Aniya Harvey, Bryce Dettloff, KC Chandler, Kenzie Annis, Melanie Moreno, Sean Reifel, Sincere Rhea, and Zach Georgiou, brother of season seven’s Charlie Georgiou.
Montgomery’s departure follows a similar situation last season when Yulissa Escobar left the show after old videos of her using a racial slur were made public.

The latest episode of Love Island left viewers wondering about the fate of Escobar and Ace Greene. However, narrator Iain Stirling quickly announced the next day that Yulissa had left the villa.
Four days after the videos surfaced, she apologized for what she did, stating she shouldn’t have used that word.
Escober, 28, explained on Instagram that they used something without realizing its significance or the hurt it could cause. While they didn’t mean to offend anyone, they now understand that good intentions don’t make up for negative consequences.
Looking back, I barely recognize the person I used to be! It’s not just about what I say anymore, but how I show up in the world – my whole presence has shifted. I’ve really learned to listen and truly value other people’s perspectives. For me, personal growth is all about owning your mistakes, even when it’s tough, and moving forward with a genuine sense of humility and responsibility. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s absolutely essential.
