Sony recently shared more information about their upcoming action game, Marvel’s Wolverine, outlining the different purchase options. However, many fans have expressed disappointment that there won’t be a special Collector’s Edition available.
Following a stunning gameplay reveal, Sony has begun taking pre-orders for their PlayStation 5 exclusive superhero game, letting fans reserve their copies now.
As mentioned before, the game comes in two versions: a standard edition and a Digital Deluxe edition. Many fans are hoping for a special Collector’s Edition and have been asking the developers at Insomniac Games if one is planned.
The answer is quite straightforward: no, there won’t be.
To several people leaving comments on the matter, Insomniac has confirmed no Collector’s Edition.
Collector’s Editions usually include unique, high-quality items like statues or special collectibles. They’re generally the priciest option for a game, but offer a ton of extra physical and digital content.
Many fans were hoping for a large, expensive version of the Marvel’s Wolverine game and were ready to pre-order it, but it seems that won’t be available, and they’re disappointed.
Sony often releases Collector’s Editions for its major titles – we’ve seen them for games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Death Stranding 2, and Ghost of Yotei. That makes the lack of one for Wolverine a bit surprising.
Maybe making them is just too expensive. Either way, it looks like you’ll have to go with the Digital Deluxe edition for now.
