9 Coronation Street spoilers next week

1. Bernie Winter collapses at wedding to Dev Alahan after shock burglary

Bernie organizes a low-profile bachelorette party, having managed to save money on Dev and Aadi’s outfits. However, things take an unexpected turn when she discovers that the boys have arranged for a pole dancer at the Rovers.

In an unexpected twist, Bernie, clearly agitated, encounters Dev. However, Auntie Rani enters just as the scene unfolds, amidst what appears to be a dance studio.

On the special day, William Flanagan and Joseph Brown will unfortunately be unable to join in person as the quads are unwell. Instead, they’ll enjoy the event through a live stream together.

Later on, Bernie inadvertently leaves behind her precious locket with a picture of her deceased son Paul Foreman (Peter Ash). Upon realizing this, she rushes home to retrieve it, only to stumble upon an intruder in the process!

Bernie eventually returns to the venue, and is walked down the aisle by younger son Kit.

Dev and Bernie look very much in love, but suddenly Bernie struggles to breathe and collapses.

In this scenario, Dev’s child, Asha Alahan (portrayed by Tanisha Gorey), rushes to help Bernie, while at the same time, Dev’s other child, Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell), summons an ambulance.

Inside the house, Sam Aston’s character, Chesney Winter-Brown, observes that the live stream abruptly stopped, coinciding with the passage of an ambulance.

Later, Asha announces that Dev wants the family at the hospital, but will Bernie be OK?

2. Aadi Alahan confesses spiking horror to Lauren Bolton

A drunk Aadi knocks back booze in Victoria Gardens, and is ignoring Lauren’s calls.

Aadi was discovered by Theo and Gary Windass (played by Mikey North), leaning against a construction van. However, when Theo attempted to assist him, Aadi lost his balance and accidentally hit his head.

When Lauren locates him at his residence, Aadi feels it’s appropriate to confess now about the incident at the party.

At Aadi’s summer party, Lauren unintentionally consumed a cup containing LSD mixed with lemonade, resulting in hallucinations where she appeared to see her deceased abuser, Joel Deering (Calum Lill)!

Aadi kept quiet about his unwitting role in her situation, but now the pair are dating.

In the latest photos, Lauren appears distressed and enraged. However, when both Aadi and Dev admit their involvement to Bernie, shock sets in on all three of them.

With Aadi set for an exit, will he face big consequences?

3. Debbie Webster proposes to Ronnie Bailey again

In the Bistro, as the event was postponed, Debbie kept everyone amused by performing a rendition of “Hopelessly Devoted to You.

Soon, she gets down on one knee to ask Ronnie to marry her.

The images depict Ronnie appearing stunned, yet swiftly, they exchange a passionate kiss, symbolizing their rekindled commitment.

As a cinephile, I found myself drawn into the poignant narrative of “Ronnie and Debbie Reunited,” a movie that delicately explores the complexities of love amidst the challenging journey of dementia. Ronnie, having learned about Debbie’s diagnosis, navigates the intricate web of their relationship as her symptoms progressively worsen, making each moment together bittersweet and profoundly moving.

So far, though, they’ve remained solid.

When will Debbie and Ronnie tie the knot?

Anyone affected by Debbie’s storyline can visit Dementia UK or call its helpline on 0800 888 6678.

4. Abi Webster discovers Carl Webster’s car scam as their affair ramps up

In the Rovers, Abi steps up and informs everyone that Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) received a clean bill of health.

However, Abi stealthily leaves for a cozy afternoon rendezvous with Carl at the hotel, as Kev confesses to Debbie his concern about losing Abi.

At the hotel, Abi finds a message on Carl’s phone from Fiona, which leaves her astounded, and Carl admits to his illicit car inspection scam and various other questionable activities taking place at Kevin’s garage.

At their residence, Kevin and Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) are buzzing with excitement as they share the news with Abi: Debbie arranged a getaway for us to Mallorca!

As a cinephile, I was taken aback when Kevin casually dropped the bomb that he had known all along about Carl’s shady business dealings. Debbie, ever the voice of reason, gently nudged me to ponder deeply over my marital future, hinting that Kevin held me in high regard.

Abi challenges Carl over his concealment of Kevin’s awareness of the scam from her, and Carl reveals that they made an agreement to ensure Kevin wouldn’t disclose his clean slate to her.

In a fit of anger, Abi discerns that Kevin is still being dishonest with her. As the days pass, Abi pretends to be sick in order to dodge the wedding ceremony, and eventually encounters Carl, confessing that she feels remorseful for deceiving Kevin.

In simpler terms, how will Abi explain herself when Kevin comes home to find her all dressed up? Or, in another way, How does Abi plan to account for herself when Kevin arrives and finds her elegantly attired?

When Abi secretly goes to the alleyway to meet Carl, she expresses again her strong desire to be with him, which makes Abi smile.

How long until Kevin catches them out?

5. Kit Green’s bonding with Brody Michaelis goes wrong amid Metcalfe discovery

Over a curry, Kit learns more about Brody, and is left upset to hear how bad his upbringing was.

Kit wants to help his son, taking Brody to a football match instead of going to Dev’s stag do.

As a movie lover putting myself in the shoes of Sally or Tim, I can’t help but feel alarmed when we notice those old bruises on Joanie Michaelis’s arm. It’s our responsibility, and it feels heavy, to take action and report this to the authorities, hoping for the best for her wellbeing.

Later on, Kit extends an invitation to his girlfriend, Sarah Platt (played by Tina O’Brien), to dine with him and Brody at a café, hoping to deepen their relationship. However, the lunch doesn’t proceed as anticipated.

How will Brody behave?

6. Lisa Swain leaves Carla Connor touched with sweet family gesture

Ryan Connor, formerly known as Ryan Prescott, assists Carla and Lisa in packing their apartment while he shares tales about his peculiar roommate and his present dwelling circumstances.

Carla feels sorry for her nephew, and Lisa is thoughtful after the conversation.

Upon my arrival at their residence, laden with a backpack, I was met with a whispered conversation between Lisa and Carla, hinting that they had invited me to join them as a new household member.

Carla is deeply touched, and it seems that ‘Swarla’ are going from strength to strength.

But are there more hurdles to get over before they can live happily ever after?

Sadly, this is always the case when it comes to soap couples!

7. Todd Grimshaw makes a sinister discovery about Theo Silverton

Todd cheerfully shares with Theo that the apartment at the corner store is available for lease, as George confesses that he will feel a sense of loss when Theo moves away.

Todd aims to lift George’s spirits by participating in the stag group, however, Theo becomes frustrated and angers when Todd tries using the pole.

In a more relaxed phrasing: Theo pretends to have a headache and is adamant about leaving, and his clingy attitude persists as Todd decides to spend the night with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) instead of being with him.

Summer invites Theo to share a pizza with her and Todd while they watch TV, but Theo declines and instead heads out to the pub.

Todd seems puzzled, and it makes us question whether he’s encountering the early stages of an abusive relationship. However, the week adds another concerning twist to the situation.

After Theo receives a call saying the social worker’s arrived, Gary offers him a ride home; however, they’re delayed by an intoxicated individual named Aadi along the way.

On his way to a meeting, Theo gets stopped by Police Constable Jess Haywood (Donnaleigh Bailey) for questioning regarding an event that took place at the police station.

Billy Mayhew shares that he spotted Theo in a patrol vehicle, but it’s important for us to verify whether Theo’s current offense involves violence, as was the case previously.

As a spellbound film critic, I found myself utterly bewildered by the enigmatic character of Theo in this captivating production. I can’t help but wonder what skeletons are rattling in his closet, and I’m itching to delve deeper into his mysterious past. But be warned, dear viewer, for the secrets he guards may not only shake Theo’s world but also ours as we unravel the intricate tapestry of his life.

8. Jenny Connor is smitten with George Shuttleworth

Inside the Rovers, Glenda Shuttleworth (played by Jodie Prenger) motivates George to sign up for a dating platform, urging him to move on from his former love, Eileen Grimshaw (portrayed by Sue Cleaver), rather than dwelling on her.

Jenny interrupts by announcing there’s a burst pipe at the Kabin, and George steps in to help.

Jenny thanks George for fixing the problem, and offers to cook him dinner.

At the local tavern, Glenda shares with George that she’s signed him up for a dating platform, and he’s already garnered some attention.

As Jenny masks her disappointment, will she tell George that she likes him?

9. Amy Barlow is suspicious of Tracy Barlow’s motives

In a somewhat uncomfortable gathering, Ken Barlow (William Roache), Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), Amy, Tracy, and Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) share a family meal.

As a movie buff, I was elated when Tracy proposed we call a truce, opting for a friendly separation, considering Amy’s well-being. This sense of relief washed over me.

But, knowing her mum has form for trouble, Amy is very suspicious of Tracy’s motives.

What is Tracy up to?
