It happened on June 3rd in Los Angeles – he was stabbed, and the police have identified his girlfriend’s son, Michael Gledhill, as the suspect. Apparently, officers responded to a 911 call around 9:30 a.m., and the caller made some very disturbing statements, claiming to have killed a ‘man of sin.’ When they arrived, they found Mr. Handy, 81 years old, with a stab wound and, sadly, he couldn’t be saved at the hospital. The police say 44-year-old Gledhill actually flagged down officers and confessed! He lives at the same house with his mother, who was Mr. Handy’s girlfriend. Thankfully, detectives believe this was an isolated incident and the public isn’t in danger, but it’s just a devastating loss.

Police arrested Gledhill and booked him into Van Nuys Jail on a murder charge, according to the LAPD. His bail was set at $2 million.
