Fans have been waiting a long time for new content for DOOM: The Dark Ages. After a lot of hints from game director Hugo Martin about how big it would be, id Software has finally announced Revelations, which will be available on July 7th for players on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
The game continues the Slayer’s story after he’s been hurt and deceived, confronting difficult and unsettling revelations. He’s helped by an unexpected ally as he battles through new areas and uses a powerful new weapon, the Chain Spear, to destroy even more demons. The game also introduces a unique challenge: the Slayer must explore his own memories and psyche to move forward, leaving players to consider how this connects to the events of the previous game, DOOM (2016).
So, alongside the Revelations update, we’re getting Ripatorium 3.0, which is huge! I’ll finally be able to save my favorite settings, and there’s a ton more customization. Plus, they’re adding three new maps, new enemies to blast, and fully upgraded weapons – it’s gonna be awesome!
