Valor Mortis Gets New Trailer, Coming to PC and Consoles on September 24th

One More Level, the studio behind the popular Ghostrunner games, has revealed a new trailer for their upcoming game, Valor Mortis. They’ve also announced the game will be released on September 24th. The 2-minute trailer showcases the game’s setting, which is based on the Napoleonic Wars, and gives a look at the first-person, Soulslike gameplay.

In Valor Mortis, you play as William, a resurrected soldier who battles different enemies as he explores themes of fate, allegiance, and the empire. The game’s trailer showcases intense first-person melee combat, and highlights how William uses magical powers not just in fights, but also for movement and navigating the world with parkour.

Valor Mortis was first shown in August 2025. The initial trailer revealed the game offers a fantasy-based take on the Napoleonic Wars, featuring a mysterious plague sweeping the land. Players will battle enemies like Napoleon’s Eternal Guard, who have been transformed into monstrous creatures.

Studio CEO Szymon Bryla previously discussed the team’s ambition to develop a completely original game. He explained that One More Level wanted to focus on their strengths – creating challenging, immersive games with large worlds that would appeal to dedicated, hardcore players.

Valor Mortis is being developed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
