After concluding its manga series last year, there’s been much anticipation about how the anime would conclude this grand finale. Get set for the official commencement of the eighth and concluding season of “My Hero Academia” this Fall! With the countdown to its final episodes now in motion, it’s an exciting time as we approach the end of the Summer 2025 anime season. This also means a surge of previews for upcoming Fall 2025 releases. In anticipation of “My Hero Academia’s” grand finale, take a look at the enticing posters showcasing its heroes and villains, which can be found below.
When Does My Hero Academia Season 8 Come Out?
Beginning October 4th, 2025, the final season of My Hero Academia is set to premiere in Japan as part of the autumn anime lineup. Excitingly, these new episodes will be available to stream exclusively on Crunchyroll when they air. The talented Naomi Nakayama returns to direct the series at studio Bones, while Yosuke Kuroda continues his work on the show’s scripts. Kenji Nagasaki assumes the role of chief director, with Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima contributing character designs, and Yuki Hayashi providing the musical score. Notably, the original voice cast will return to bring their characters to life once more.
In the upcoming season of My Hero Academia, we find ourselves continuing directly from where the last season ended, with Deku engaged in his final confrontation against Shigaraki, and All Might battling it out with All For One in their ultimate showdown. Some intriguing uncertainties linger regarding the outcomes of several heroes who were still present at the conclusion of the previous season, including Katsuki Bakugo. However, these characters are prominently featured in the trailers, which suggests that their stories will be further developed. The conflicts involving Dabi and Toga seemed to reach their conclusions, so we’re left wondering what fresh developments await us.
How Is My Hero Academia Going to End?
In the anime adaptation of “My Hero Academia,” there’s a definite trajectory towards its climactic conclusion as it follows the manga’s final chapters. However, the creator has provided additional epilogue content since then, creating a more comprehensive storyline. Fans have been curious if this extended ending will be reflected in the anime. Yet, at Anime Expo 2025 earlier this year, the creator himself hinted that he’ll contribute new materials to the anime, raising speculation about potential changes or additions to its conclusion.
After wrapping up the manga for “My Hero Academia”, Horikoshi shared that he’s been able to collaborate more closely with the production studio on the anime, focusing particularly on enhancing the anime’s production process. He expressed excitement about suggesting additional scenes and deeper emotional depth to the characters’ performances. Currently, fans can catch up on all seven seasons of “My Hero Academia” streaming on Crunchyroll, as well as the spinoff anime series “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes”, with a second season in the pipeline.
