Nicole Kidman Shows Off Her Naturally Curly Hair During Farm Outing

There’s nothing but upsides when Nicole Kidman shows off her naturally curly hair.

The actress from The Upsides swapped her normally straight hair for a more natural, curly look while spending a relaxed day outdoors.

On June 6th, Nicole posted a photo to Instagram showing a relaxed side of herself. Dressed casually in jeans, a blue shirt, and sneakers, she leaned against a farm fence, looking up and enjoying the fresh air, a far cry from her usual glamorous look.

The actress, known for her role in Babygirl, wore her hair down, letting her natural curls flow freely.

As she captioned the snap, which also featured horses in the distance, “Weekend Vibes.”

Recently, Nicole has been known for her straight hair and neat bangs, but she’s mentioned that she really misses wearing her hair naturally.

Looking back at some of her older films, like 1990’s Days of Thunder, she often questions why she used to style her hair with heat.

“I used to wonder why I’d straighten my hair,” the 58-year-old shared with Allure in May 2025. “I adore my natural hair texture. It’s funny when you think about it, isn’t it?”

She encouraged young girls to love their natural curls and avoid straightening their hair, saying, “Embrace the curl!”

Nicole, who has two daughters – 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 15-year-old Faith Margaret – with her ex-husband Keith Urban, says she can sometimes bring back her natural curls, but only when the conditions are exactly right.

As she put it, “It needs to be kind of humid and I need to use the right product,”

She explained that filming Days of Thunder in Daytona Beach, Florida was incredibly humid. “That’s why my hair was so curly and unruly,” she said.

And the Practical Magic star’s favorite part about her natural hair?

“I look like my daughters,” she said, “Well, that makes sense.”

Nicole Kidman isn’t just connected to her children, Bella, 33, and Connor, 31 (whose father is Tom Cruise), in traditional ways. She recently shared a unique rule she has for her teenage children at home.

Nicole confessed to Hoda Kotb at a live event in Philadelphia that her daughters would be upset with her for sharing this, but she insists they need to hug her for two minutes each day, according to People magazine.

She explained that hugging releases helpful chemicals in the body, and that ideally, people should get about two minutes of hugs each day.
