Nintendo will be holding a new Direct presentation on June 9th at 7:00 AM Pacific Time. Immediately following that, they’ll be streaming Treehouse: Live! The Direct is scheduled to last 50 minutes, and Treehouse: Live! will be 95 minutes long.
For a while now, people have been expecting a new Nintendo Direct presentation. However, the announcement of a new Treehouse: Live! stream came as a surprise. This has intensified speculation that Nintendo might reveal a complete remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the next Nintendo console, possibly releasing around the holidays. Reports suggest this won’t be a simple updated version like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, but a full reimagining of the game.
Several other games are expected to be announced, including Star Fox on June 25th, Rhythm Heaven Groove on July 2nd, and Splatoon Raiders on July 23rd. There are also reports that Nintendo Switch Sports will be revealed, and a new 3D Mario game might be announced, though it won’t be released until 2027.
We can also anticipate many independent developers showcasing their games. Jonathan Blow, the creator of Order of the Sinking Star, hinted at a new announcement for his puzzle game this week, which might be a release date, especially after the reveal of a version for the new Nintendo Switch 2. Keep checking back for live updates!
