Nintendo has announced when its annual Nintendo Direct presentation will take place in June, following lots of rumors about a new Zelda game.
After Summer Game Fest and presentations from PlayStation and Xbox, Nintendo has now held its own gaming showcase.
Nintendo has made it a habit to hold a Direct presentation in June, and after a lot of guessing and waiting, they’ve finally announced when it will happen.
Nintendo’s next Direct presentation is happening tomorrow, June 9th, at 3pm British Summer Time. For viewers in the US, that’s 7am Pacific Time or 10am Eastern Time.
The presentation is scheduled for 50 minutes, which hints at a lot of exciting news. For those anticipating the Switch 2, this is exactly what fans are hoping for!
Honestly, Nintendo’s 2026 is looking a little empty after the next month or so – it’s mostly just Star Fox and Rhythm Heaven Groove coming out. So this new release feels really important, like it’s going to be a big deal for them and for us fans!

Many believe the next Nintendo Switch 2 game will be a rebuilt version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Originally released in 1998, this beloved game is still considered a classic. It was later updated for the 3DS in 2011 and made available on the Nintendo Switch Online service in 2021.
The 3DS version was simply an improved version of the original, but the new version planned for the Switch 2 is expected to be a complete rebuild, taking full advantage of the console’s significantly better hardware.
Besides the anticipation for the new Zelda game, Ocarina of Time, many fans are also excitedly discussing the upcoming Fire Emblem title, Fortune’s Weave.
So, they announced this new game way back in September 2025, saying it’d be out in 2026, but honestly, we haven’t heard a single peep about it since. That’s why I’m really hoping we finally get an update on it during this Nintendo Direct – it feels like it’s been forever!
Hopefully, tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct will reveal both Ocarina of Time and Fortune’s Weave, but we’ll have to wait and see if that happens.
Like clockwork, I’m hoping Nintendo finally announces a remake of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky during the next Direct. Seriously, that game deserves some love – it’s criminally underrated, and I ask for a remake every single time!
