After successfully launching their popular turn-based RPG, Sea of Stars, Sabotage is now focusing on a new project, starting with a special ‘Sunset Edition‘ of the game.
The game is now available on both PS5 and PS4 with a brand new, high-budget cinematic introduction – the team’s most ambitious cutscene yet. A fresh key art image has also been revealed (you can see it at the top of this article and in the YouTube video). Inside the game, the standard difficulty level has been tweaked for better balance.
In collaboration with iam8bit, a physical collector’s edition will also be released in the future.
The team is currently developing a new game, internally called Project Sparrow, but details are still under wraps. They’ve been working on it for over a year, and it’s now in full production.
Sea of Stars was previously available on PS Plus Extra, so you might have already played it with your subscription. If not, it’s a really great indie RPG that’s worth checking out. Now, with the new, free expansion called Throes of the Watchmaker, it’s even better – we originally gave the game an 8 out of 10.
We originally praised this game for building on the best parts of classic RPGs while still feeling fresh. It stood out with a captivating story, memorable characters, and a surprisingly rich backstory. Plus, the combat was enjoyable and required thoughtful strategy, and exploring its beautiful pixel art world felt truly rewarding.
