The new limited series, Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse, continues the story started by writer Gerry Duggan and artist Javier Garrón on a grand scale. Issue #1 begins immediately after the last issue of their previous series, following Doctor Doom as he gathers a team of heroes to travel the Multiverse. Their mission? To find a power strong enough to stop Godzilla and Knull from taking over everything.
Godzilla Roars Across Marvel’s Multiverse
Marvel’s new comic, Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse #1, kicks off with a terrifying team-up: Knull and Godzilla have joined forces to take over the main Marvel Universe (Earth-616)! Now, heroes like Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, Kang, Emma Frost, Ghost Rider, The Punisher, and Man-Thing are facing total destruction.
The story follows a team facing incredible danger when Doomstadt travels between dimensions to capture a monster strong enough to defeat the King of Monsters. They’ll battle robotic enemies, creatures from other universes, and the villain Red Skull, who’s now protected by nearly indestructible Adamantium armor. With universes at risk, a surprising new ally might be their only hope. It’s an explosive start to a story that will dramatically change everything, filled with epic monster battles!
Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse likely signals the approaching climax of the long story writer Duggan and artist Garrón have been building for the past year. The previous series showed Godzilla being accidentally awakened by Mole Man, whose experiments with a powerful type of Vibranium attracted the monster and caused a rampage more intense than anything fans had witnessed before.
Before the launch of Godzilla: Infinity Roar and its ambitious multiversal story, I shared how much I enjoy working with Godzilla – he’s a fantastic collaborator, unlike some other stars! We’re taking the fun to outer space, and the ideas we have now will make this the biggest, wildest, and most thrilling Godzilla crossover yet. The Marvel Universe is facing its greatest threat ever!
