Later this Fall, Fox’s Animation Domination lineup is coming back with fresh episodes! Notably, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and other series will be premiering their new seasons. In fact, Fox has confirmed these dates leading up to the end of the year. The Animation Domination block has experienced significant updates in the last year, as Fox is focusing on increasing the popularity of their adult animated shows. Many franchises have been renewed for additional seasons, resulting in a diverse selection of shows that keep Sunday nights bustling for the network almost all year round, as we’ve observed so far.

Despite experiencing some changes during its summer run on Thursdays, Animation Domination is set to come back to Sunday evenings, starting this Fall on Fox. Fox has unveiled their schedule of upcoming adult animated series for the fall season, and they’ve confirmed that new episodes of The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Universal Basic Guys, and Krapopolis will debut on Fox Sundays, starting September 28th.

Fox Confirms Fall 2025 Animation Premieres

I’ve just learned from Fox that they are unveiling their revised Animation Domination schedule, which goes live starting this coming Sunday, September 28th (Eastern Time), as confirmed by them.

  • The Simpsons (Season 37 Premiere) – 8:00PM
  • Universal Basic Guys (Season 2 Premiere) – 8:30PM
  • Krapopolis (Season 3 Premiere) – 9:00PM
  • Bob’s Burgers (Season 16 Premiere) – 9:30PM

Despite wrapping up their recent seasons this Spring, both The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers are set to return to the Fall 2025 schedule with a new season. This renewal should address many of the issues that surfaced in previous seasons. Notably, Fox has renewed both series for four more seasons as part of an extensive agreement; however, this might result in fewer episodes per season since Fox’s schedule is expected to undergo further modifications.

It’s probable that we’ll see more episodes during the Fall to midseason, but the total number will be smaller than the usual 22-episode season. This is due to Fox having a larger number of successful adult animated shows (including the recent relicensing of American Dad! and a new season coming soon), which means they need to manage their schedule more carefully. This could result in less pressure on production teams overall, but we’ll have to wait and see about that.

What’s Coming in The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers New Seasons?

In upcoming seasons, both “The Simpsons” and “Bob’s Burgers” are set to reach significant milestones. Specifically, “Bob’s Burgers” Season 16 is gearing up for its 300th episode, a special occasion that was hinted at during San Diego Comic-Con 2025. This historic episode will unveil the very first day Bob’s Burgers restaurant opened, and it will depict Bob and Linda navigating stress as Linda goes into labor with Tina amidst the chaos of opening day. On the other hand, “The Simpsons” Season 37 will mark the airing of its 800th episode.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, it was hinted that Episode 800 of The Simpsons would have a special broadcast event in February 2026. Showrunner Matt Selman shared some exciting news with fans about the premiere, stating, “Given that we’re reaching 800 episodes, we’ve got something special planned for the night – two original episodes! For now, they’re under wraps, but I assure you, they’ll be the most exceptional 800th episode of any show you’ve ever witnessed.
