Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Mouiller) has had his heart broken in two in EastEnders.
He’s very much like his father, Max Wood, known for being unfaithful. While his girlfriend, Jasmine Fisher, was in jail for accidentally killing her father, he had a romantic encounter with her twin brother, Josh Goodwin.
In Oscar and Josh’s defence, neither of them realised the connection at the time. But that doesn’t excuse the multitude of times they’ve hooked up since, with the latest being witnessed by Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace).
I was totally shocked when I walked in on them kissing! I told Josh that while I wasn’t going to be the one to tell Jasmine, he really needed to be honest with her eventually. It was a tough situation, but I figured he was the one who needed to handle it.
Things took a turn during the Slater twins’ 20th birthday dinner – a meal Oscar unexpectedly found himself at – when Josh, feeling guilty, stopped the birthday song to confess everything.

Jasmine was incredibly angry and confronted Oscar, demanding explanations. She pursued him down to the pub, and things escalated when she threw a glass at him. Max stepped in to stop the situation from getting worse.
He whisked Oscar off home, where Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) tried to impart some wisdom. She told the teenager that while he couldn’t change his mistakes, he could start to try and put things right.
Back at The Vic, Jasmine admitted she still loved him and was struggling to feel angry with him. Despite the challenges, she was willing to forgive him and try to begin a new chapter.
Oscar unexpectedly turned her down, but he quickly clarified that he wasn’t attracted to her brother and wouldn’t be seeking a relationship with him.
I walked across the street to find Josh at the cafe, feeling a little hopeful. With everyone finally knowing about us, I was thinking maybe we could finally just be open about our relationship, you know, make it official.
Declining an invite to join him at Sandra Goodwin’s (Dawn Steele) house, Oscar kissed Josh goodbye and asked him to focus on rebuilding his complicated dynamic with Jasmine.
Is this the end of the love triangle?

Elsewhere, at Walford Hospital, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) felt hopeful that his nightmare may be coming to an end. Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) had taken some of the responsibility for son Jordan’s (Jahsaiah Williams) car accident, saying that it wouldn’t have happened if she’d kept an eye on the youngster.
When she went back to her child’s bedside, she learned the surgery to fix his spine hadn’t gone as planned, and he might be permanently paralyzed.
That night, I was really hoping Chelsea’s blow-up meant something good, so I settled in to watch Ian have a beer with his mum, Kathy (played by Gillian Taylforth), and his son, Peter (Thomas Law). It felt like a small, quiet moment amidst all the drama.
What he didn’t bargain for was Chelsea arriving on his doorstep, slapping him across the face and vowing to seek revenge.
How will Ian wriggle his way out of this one?
