Xbox Game Pass (including Ultimate, PC, and Premium) has added three new games for both PC and Xbox Series X that are available to play starting today. Instead of buying these games individually, Game Pass subscribers can download them for free – making this one of the largest day-one releases of 2026. However, despite being a significant addition, it isn’t the biggest day-one release the service has ever seen.
Xbox Game Pass in 2026 has seen a lot of games released on the same day as their launch, but titles not made by Xbox itself haven’t been particularly memorable. They’re usually smaller games with average review scores. The three new games added to the service follow this pattern. However, if you’re a Game Pass subscriber looking for something fresh to play, here are your new options.
Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions
Today, System Era Softworks and Devolver Digital released Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions, a new sci-fi multiplayer adventure game. It’s available in early access on Premium, PC, and Ultimate game tiers.
In this game, you become part of the ESS Starseeker crew and travel across the universe, visiting different planets and collaborating with others to complete missions.
Because the game is still in early access, it doesn’t have a Metacritic score yet. However, players on Steam have given it a 40% approval rating.
Beastro
Beastro is a charming adventure game developed by Timberline Studio with a unique twist: the world’s survival depends on the meals you prepare! You’ll grow and collect ingredients to cook delicious recipes that power up the Caretakers, who then use those boosts in card-based battles to save the world.
Beastro is only accessible to players with an Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription. Currently, it doesn’t have a Metacritic score, so the best way to gauge its quality is through user reviews. As of now, it has a 92% approval rating on Steam.
Frog Sqwad
Finally, there’s Frog Squad, a multiplayer puzzle platformer where you try to extract items. It’s available to players with PC, Premium, or Ultimate subscriptions. Developed by Panic Stations, it doesn’t have a Metacritic score yet, but it’s currently rated 90% positive on Steam.
In this game for up to eight players, you compete to become the ultimate Megafrog by diving into the sewers and eating everything in sight, all to earn the favor of the Swamp King.
We don’t know how long these games will stay on Xbox Game Pass, as Microsoft hasn’t announced that information. However, as long as they’re available, Game Pass subscribers can buy them with a 20% discount.
