Graham Norton will be interviewing pop icon Madonna to discuss her upcoming 15th album.
Madonna & Graham is a 50-minute program where Graham Norton sits down with Madonna in an exclusive interview for BBC One and iPlayer.
Filmed at the famous Koko in Camden – a venue with a rich history, including Madonna’s first UK performance in 1983 and the launch party for her 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor – this program features Graham in a detailed conversation with Madonna about her life and career.
The BBC has teased that this rare interview “promises to be an unmissable television event”.

You can watch ‘Madonna & Graham’ on BBC One on Friday, June 26th at 10:40 PM. It will also be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday, July 4th from 6 to 8 PM. After they air, both programs will be available on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds for a month.
In this interview, Madonna shares memories of her beginnings in New York, talks about her strong connection to the UK, and reflects on her recent Coachella performance, among other things. The program also includes a visit from Stuart Price, a frequent collaborator of Madonna’s.
As a longtime fan, interviewing Madonna is always exciting, but meeting her on the dance floor of the venue where she first performed in London – over thirty years ago – was particularly memorable. She’s still a pop legend, and continues to inspire people to dance!
Jonathan Rothery, head of BBC popular music TV, explained that some programming choices require careful consideration, while others are obvious wins. He said the chance to broadcast an in-depth conversation between Madonna and Graham Norton was a clear example of the latter. Describing Madonna as a unique artist and Graham Norton as a skilled interviewer, he expressed the BBC’s excitement about partnering with So Television to bring this exclusive global interview to BBC One viewers.

Madonna has been a guest on The Graham Norton Show before, including a 2019 appearance where she talked about her album, Madame X.
Norton has mentioned his previous interviews with Madonna, playfully suggesting she was once upset with him.
Graham Norton mentioned that Madonna appeared on his show back in 2012. He believes she then had a falling out with him and did an interview with Jonathan Ross in 2015 before returning to his show in 2019. He admitted he doesn’t understand her behavior, but that he does like her, even though she can be difficult to work with.
He playfully admitted he’d often hoped to befriend her. He’d even find himself curiously examining the houses in her Instagram photos, wondering where she lived – if she was currently in London, for example. He sometimes cycled by the houses, playfully imagining if she was home at that moment.
“But rest assured, I’m not her friend, so don’t be too jealous.”
Madonna’s upcoming album, Confessions II, will be released on 3 July, and is a direct sequel to her critically acclaim Confessions on a Dance Floor, which featured hits like Sorry and Hung Up.
After finalizing the album, Madonna shared a preview with a 60-second video for its first song, “I Feel So Free.”
She’s working with Stuart Price again, the British producer she famously made her album Confessions on a Dance Floor with in his London home studio.
