The popular crime drama, MobLand, is gearing up for its second season on Paramount+. However, recent reports indicate that Tom Hardy won’t be involved if the show gets renewed for a third season, reportedly due to issues that arose during filming.
After the first report, a second one surfaced, citing sources who confirmed that Hardy could be challenging on set. This was supported by stories of him arriving late, requesting extra rehearsal time, and often proposing changes to the script.
Despite reports to the contrary, there was still a possibility he might come back. His co-star, Helen Mirren, tried to stop rumors of a disagreement between them by posting a photo of Hardy on Instagram with the message: “Love you now and always.”
Helen Mirren recently shared more details about her experience working with Tom Hardy in a new interview with Variety.
When a reporter asked Helen Mirren if she’d work with him again, she responded with enthusiastic agreement, saying she’d do it ‘in a heartbeat.’

She shared her admiration for Tom, calling him a truly exceptional actor. She explained that every actor works differently, and she’s learned to respect that some people find their way into a role more quickly than others. Ultimately, she said, she only cares about the final result on screen, and as long as it’s good, she’s happy. She emphasized that her feelings for Tom are sincere and that she genuinely believes he’s an incredible person.
Helen Mirren expressed optimism about a potential third season of MobLand. In an interview with Variety, she acknowledged that collaborating with talented creatives can be difficult – ‘people will get their knickers in a twist,’ she joked – but she’s confident they’ll move forward and deliver an even stronger season.
