The recent big-budget movie about a man and his dog, 2020’s ‘Call of the Wild’ starring Harrison Ford, wasn’t successful. However, ‘The Heart of the Beast,’ featuring Brad Pitt, looks much more promising. It appears to be an exciting and potentially moving story, a far cry from the popular, but very different, ‘Paw Patrol’ movies aimed at younger children.
When a plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, Special Forces officer James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his loyal dog, Odin, are left to fend for themselves. Facing harsh conditions, they must rely on each other to survive. “Heart of the Beast,” directed by David Ayer, is a thrilling adventure that showcases the powerful connection between a man and his canine companion as they fight for their lives.
Cameron Alexander, a director known for music videos, wrote the screenplay for the film, which appeared on the 2017 Blacklist before being produced by Damien Chazelle and Olivia Hamilton’s company, Wild Chickens Productions. David Ayer, an experienced director of action films who previously worked with Brad Pitt on ‘Fury’ (2014), directs the movie. Brad Pitt leads the cast, supported by J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe.
HEART OF THE BEAST IS IN CINEMAS on 25th SEPTEMBER 2026
