The show consistently maintained its dark and mysterious atmosphere, suggesting hidden, supernatural elements. While Hardy remains engaging as Eddie Brock in the Venom films and Walker in Havoc, he truly shines when playing complicated characters with internal struggles, like James Delaney in Taboo.
Taboo Season 2 Might Still See The Light Of Day
It’s been nearly ten years since Taboo first aired. Surprisingly, the original plan wasn’t just for a single season – it was quickly renewed for a second! Although updates were scarce after that announcement, writer Steven Knight later revealed that scripts were already completed for all six episodes of season two.
Back in 2022, there was talk that filming for season two of Taboo might start in 2023. Producer Dean Baker confirmed in 2023 that the season was still being developed. However, as of 2026, it appears the show remains stalled indefinitely. Although the exact reason isn’t clear, Tom Hardy’s busy schedule is likely a major factor preventing its production.
Now that Tom Hardy is reportedly leaving MobLand, he may have more time to focus on the second season of his TV series, Taboo. Although the future of Taboo is uncertain, it still has a dedicated fanbase and is likely to be successful if it comes back.
