A preview for the new ITV drama, Adultery, has been revealed. The show stars Dominic Cooper (known from Mamma Mia!) and Romola Garai (Atonement) as Tom and Beth, whose passionate affair risks destroying everything they know.
The brief preview shows Tom and Beth enjoying their lives with their spouses – Hannah, played by Shelley Conn, and Neil, played by Matthew McNulty – before hinting at a passionate relationship developing between Tom and Beth themselves.
We often feel excited when we’re attracted to someone, but there’s something standing in the way. But what happens when that attraction is overwhelming – when it’s incredibly strong? What does that do to the equation?

I recently got a peek at what ITV and STV are bringing us this fall, and it sounds really compelling. The new series, penned by Danny Brocklehurst – the guy who wrote ‘Missing You’ – is being described as a passionate and gripping love story. It’s not just romance though; it delves into the complexities of parenthood, the dangers people face, and really makes you think about issues like social class, dealing with loss, and how social media impacts our lives. It sounds like a show with a lot of depth, and I’m definitely adding it to my watchlist.
This captivating story centers on two families and a passionate love affair that could shatter their worlds. It feels genuine and explores a connection filled with intense, unspoken longing.
Tom Kirkman (Dominic Cooper) and Beth Brookes (Romola Garai) feel an instant and powerful attraction to each other. However, there’s a complication: Tom’s teenage daughter, Jess (Leila Khan), is deeply involved with Beth’s son, Ollie (Johnny Sanpher), and their relationship is taking over their lives.

Okay, so this movie is about Tom and Beth, and let me tell you, they’re fighting some serious attraction. It’s not just about the feelings themselves, though – they’re really wrestling with the guilt of it all, and how it could totally blow up their lives, hurting their spouses, Hannah and Neil. It makes you wonder, can they keep things under control when their own kids are already head-over-heels and making a mess of things?
Cooper recently appeared in “The Gold” and “The Last Frontier,” and Garai was featured in “Just Act Normal” as well as the ITV thriller “Betrayal.”
