Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s latest outing will make your heart go boom, boom, boom. 

Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were spotted on a romantic picnic date in Santa Barbara, California, on June 13th.

While enjoying a day outdoors, Perry, wearing a white shirt and loose-fitting pants, snuggled close to the politician and he gently kissed her on the nose.

Trudeau was casually dressed in a green T-shirt, shorts, and black sunglasses while he and the other person relaxed on a red checkered picnic blanket.

The couple enjoyed a romantic outing in the park, following Katy Perry’s performance at the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Cup in Los Angeles the previous day, before the U.S. men’s national team played their first game.

During a charming performance of her 2024 song “Wonder” alongside young artist Tius, everyone noticed Justin Trudeau in the crowd enthusiastically supporting her.

People were surprised to see him at the event, especially since he had missed Canada’s World Cup Opening Ceremony that same day. However, he explained on X (formerly Twitter) on June 13th that he was there to support his partner, stating, “Sometimes supportive boyfriend duties call.”

Even so, he’ll always rep the great white north. 

As he added alongside a Canadian flag emoji, “But you know who I’m rooting for to take the Cup.”

Even though he’s committed to his current partner, Perry has shown Justin Trudeau that his time with Katy Perry – playfully referencing her hit song ‘California Gurls’ – left a lasting impression. They recently made their first public appearance as a couple at the Tribeca Festival on June 8th, marking a new stage in their relationship.

Katy Perry looked stunning in a flowing white dress for the event. Prime Minister Trudeau opted for a classic and sharp black suit with a white shirt.

Perry, who’s been publicly dating Trudeau since the summer of 2025, talked about their relationship at the event.
