The band played on for Jelly Roll.
Just a day after announcing his divorce from Bunnie Xo, the singer known for “Bloodline” performed at Roger’s Stadium in Toronto as part of his tour with Post Malone – officially titled ‘Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2’.
Jelly Roll had the crowd on their feet during the performance, singing hits like “Liar” and honoring Toronto native The Weeknd with a cover of “The Hills,” according to social media footage.
TopMob News obtained legal documents showing that Jason DeFord, 41, filed for divorce from his wife of ten years on May 18th. The couple separated on May 9, 2026, and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, which became public on June 15th.
Jelly Roll may have subtly suggested his split from his wife, Bunnie (whose full name is Alisa DeFord), when he performed at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on June 4th without wearing his wedding ring.
For her part, Bunnie posted multiple cryptic posts to social media ahead of the split.
On June 15th, the host of the Dumb Blonde podcast shared a TikTok video lip-syncing to Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me.” She also posted a photo from a boudoir shoot on her Instagram Stories, writing, “She’s getting her sparkle back.”
TopMob News contacted representatives for both Jelly Roll and Bunnie, but they haven’t received a response yet.

Just three months before filing for divorce, Bunnie revealed in her memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, that she and her husband – who has two children, 18-year-old Bailee Ann and 9-year-old Noah, from previous relationships – were trying to have a baby using IVF.
Okay, so things are really good with my husband, J, and me – we’ve worked hard on ourselves and are finally feeling secure, both financially and emotionally. We’re now starting to think about the next chapter, and that includes expanding our family! We’ve decided to work with a wonderful surrogate, and I’m about to begin the stimulation phase of IVF. It feels like a really exciting time!

Okay, so I’m really thrilled to share this, but also a little nervous! I’ve always wanted to have children with someone I truly believed would be an amazing dad, and someone who could help give our kids the absolute best start in life. It’s been a long time coming, and I’m so excited for this next chapter.
Bunnie shared that they plan to fill their children’s lives with the love and support they didn’t receive growing up. She excitedly added that she looks forward to watching her and her partner’s personalities come alive in their kids.

As a bit of a love story connoisseur, let me tell you about how Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll found each other! It all started way back in 2015 in Las Vegas – can you believe it? I learned on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast that they first crossed paths at the Las Vegas Country Saloon when Jelly was performing. He wasn’t the household name he is today; actually, he was living in a van and played to a pretty small crowd of around 20 people! But clearly, fate had other plans.
Bunnie described it as totally cliché, but she said her soul instantly recognized him. It’s funny because on paper, they weren’t each other’s type – he’s a huge Taylor Swift fan! Still, there was an undeniable connection. They didn’t jump into a relationship immediately though; Bunnie was dealing with a difficult situation and Jelly was focused on his own path.
They reconnected in October 2015, and she quickly found herself falling for him. Things really started to shift after her ex went to prison, and she bravely gave Jelly Roll her number through a friend. He actually reached out for advice about his daughter, Bailee, which was so sweet!
But the turning point came in July 2016 when he returned to Vegas for some video shoots. Let’s just say after a very tipsy night, things turned romantic! She remembers being playfully forward and him responding not with passion, but by asking about her five-year plan – talk about unexpected! After they talked it through, he gave the okay, and that was that. It’s proof that sometimes, opposites really do attract, and a little bit of honesty can go a long way!

Bunnie and Jelly Roll quickly committed to their relationship. They got married a month after they started dating, in August 2016 at a Las Vegas wedding chapel, and followed through with a five-year plan they’d discussed, culminating in buying a house together.
Bunnie also had her own ambitions, including starting a podcast. Jelly Roll explained that when she left the sex work industry in 2019, he asked her what she was passionate about, and she expressed a desire to host a talk show. She launched the Dumb Blonde podcast later that year.
Bunnie financially supported Jelly Roll’s career, investing in his 2017 album Addiction Kills and helping him with legal matters related to gaining custody of his daughter.

Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee, was born in 2008 while he was serving time in prison for drug dealing. He credits her with turning his life around, saying she unknowingly saved him.
Bailee remembers her father entering her life around age two, when he was starting out as a musician and living in his van. Although Jelly Roll admits he wasn’t very involved as a father at first, that changed when he fought for full custody of Bailee because of her mother’s struggles with addiction.
Even though Jelly Roll and his now-wife, Bunnie, were just beginning their relationship, she financially supported his legal battle to gain custody. This situation prompted both of them to re-examine their own lifestyles. Bunnie realized they couldn’t provide a stable home for Bailee while still battling their own addictions, leading her to stop using pills altogether.
Bunnie also embraced the role of mother figure. In a 2024 Sweet 16 post for Bailee, she thanked Jelly Roll for allowing her to be a mom and praised Bailee for teaching her valuable life lessons over the past eight years.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie welcomed their son, Noah, around a week before their wedding in August 2016, while Jelly Roll was also navigating a custody case for his daughter, Bailee. He shared his hopes for Noah on Facebook, writing, “God Bless this Child to be everything I am not!” and expressing his desire for Noah and Bailee to avoid repeating his mistakes.
Over the years, Jelly Roll and Bunnie have generally kept Noah’s life private, but occasionally share small updates. In July 2023, Bunnie posted a TikTok of a conversation with Noah, asking about his favorite things like soccer and playing at the beach, but emphasized she got permission from Noah’s mother first.
Bunnie and Jelly Roll have a good relationship with Noah’s mother, whom Bunnie praised in a Facebook post as a supportive presence, especially while Jelly Roll is touring. Bunnie often expresses her joy in being Noah’s stepmom. In an October 2024 Instagram post after Noah attended one of his dad’s concerts, she wrote about how privileged she feels to have been a part of his life since he was born and how thankful she is for both Noah and his mother.

As someone who’s followed a lot of relationships, I’ve always admired Jelly Roll and Bunnie’s honesty. They’ve been through a lot, and they’ve been open about it. They actually separated a couple of years after getting married, and Jelly Roll later admitted he was the one who caused the split by having an affair. He’s said it was a really tough moment for him, realizing how much he loved Bunnie and also how close he was to messing things up completely.
But what I find so inspiring is they didn’t give up. They worked incredibly hard to rebuild their relationship, and they actually rekindled things later in 2018. He’s talked about doing a lot of inner work to repair the damage, and they’ve come out stronger than ever. He wishes things hadn’t happened the way they did, but he’s proud of the couple they are today.
Bunnie has also shared their journey, posting about how their breakup and eventual reconnection in 2018 led them on this incredible path. She beautifully described how they had to let their old foundation crumble so they could build something even stronger. They really committed to each other, fulfilling promises they made way back in 2016, and it’s clear they’re deeply in love and dedicated to each other. It’s a reminder that even after big challenges, relationships can not only survive, but truly thrive.

As Jelly Roll became more famous, he and his wife, Bunnie, made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2022 CMA Awards. In the documentary Jelly Roll: Save Me, Bunnie described them as “the Addams Family of country music – we don’t really fit in, but here we are.”

Jelly Roll and Bunnie celebrated seven years of marriage in 2023 by renewing their vows. Looking back on their original wedding, Bunnie remembered Jelly Roll promising her things would get better and that they would face challenges together. He kept that promise.
Bunnie described the past seven years as a difficult but rewarding journey. They worked hard to overcome past traumas and build a healthy relationship, creating a stable home for her daughter, Bailee. Through everything, they faced challenges side-by-side with positivity.
Bunnie expressed her deep love and admiration for Jelly Roll, calling him her soulmate, safe haven, and best friend. She believes he is truly one of a kind.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie continue to have a loving relationship. Bunnie has even been the inspiration behind some of Jelly Roll’s music, including songs like “Woman” and “Kill a Man.”
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight about his song “Kill a Man,” Jelly Roll said Bunnie is “the best” and explained he struggled to write a genuine love song without sounding cheesy. He wanted to express how deeply in love he is while still feeling like himself. He emphasized that he only has eyes for her and wanted the song to show his vulnerability.
The couple also appeared together in the music videos for “Wheels Fall Off” and “Lonely Road,” which featured Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox.

Bunnie is Jelly Roll’s biggest fan, always supporting him whether she’s at his shows or watching from home.
She recently shared a heartfelt message celebrating his success at the 2024 CMT Music Awards, acknowledging it wasn’t an instant achievement but the result of twenty years of hard work. She recalled times when they worried no one was listening, contrasted with the joy of seeing arenas filled with fans.
Bunnie praised Jelly Roll’s songwriting, describing his music as healing and deeply relatable, offering comfort to those who feel broken and reminding them they’re not alone.
The couple’s strong bond is inspiring to their followers. Bunnie affectionately called Jelly Roll a healer whose voice resonates with the world like a choir, expressing her eternal love for him.
Jelly Roll also publicly celebrates Bunnie, praising her success in building a community on social media and through her podcast, especially admiring how she inspires other women.

Bunnie Xo is fiercely protective of her husband, Jelly Roll, and won’t tolerate anyone attacking him. She recently spoke out about the hurtful comments he received online regarding his weight before losing over 200 pounds, explaining he had to step away from the internet due to the bullying. While Jelly Roll tries not to show it, Bunnie says these comments deeply affect him, and she strongly objects to the idea that celebrities should simply ‘handle’ online abuse. She emphasized that no one deserves to be bullied, as you never know what someone is going through mentally. Bunnie vowed to always defend those who are targeted and won’t allow anyone to spread lies about her or her family. Jelly Roll has also been open about his health struggles, recently revealing on The Joe Rogan Experience that he felt like he was ‘dying’ as he dealt with low testosterone and other issues.

Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie, have been openly sharing their journey to expand their family.
After Jelly Roll mentioned they were considering having a baby, Bunnie revealed on Instagram in June 2024 that they’ve begun IVF treatments. She explained they decided to share the process because of their honesty with fans, and acknowledged it’s already been difficult despite being early on.
They are hopeful about growing their family, meeting with doctors and exploring all available options. Bunnie shared that while they hadn’t initially planned to have more children, something changed this year, and they both want a biological child to add to their existing family with Bailee and Noah.
Bunnie also discussed on her podcast, Dumb Blonde, in March 2025, that they are using a surrogate because she is unable to carry a child herself due to health risks.
Despite the challenges, Bunnie expressed on her November 2025 podcast episode that they’re trusting in fate and open to adoption if IVF isn’t successful.

According to court documents, Jelly Roll filed for divorce in May 2026. Shortly before the news became public, his wife, Bunnie, shared a message on Instagram with a photo of herself, writing, “She’s getting her sparkle back.”
