Fiona Chernavskaya‘s love for Oliver Tree will go on and on and on.
After the “Alien Boy” singer died in a helicopter crash in Brazil at age 32 June 14, his girlfriend paid tribute to her love while looking back at their romance.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on June 16th, Chernavskaya shared memories of her relationship with Tree, whom she began dating in 2023. She wrote about their incredible adventures together, having explored 43 countries and all seven continents. Chernavskaya expressed that the happiness and inspiration Tree brought to her life, and the lives of others, will always be cherished and can never be duplicated.
She remembered him saying during their fights that even if their relationship didn’t last this life, he’d find her again in the next. She finished with a sweet, ‘I love you, silly.’
The stylist responded to all the feedback – good and bad – people shared about their relationship.
She started an Instagram Story on June 17th by saying she was grateful for everyone’s kind messages and support. She also asked people to remember and support those who were also deeply affected by his death.
Chernavskaya continued, asking for privacy. She explained that she and Oliver had a very private relationship, and she doesn’t want to read rumors about his other relationships. They were committed to each other, and right now, she’s grieving the loss of her partner and close friend, and nothing else matters.
After the sudden passing of Tree, many people paid tribute to the “Life Goes On” artist, and that included his former partner, Melanie Martinez.
I’ve honestly been a mess today. It’s just so difficult to process losing someone you shared such a significant chapter of your life with – someone who really shaped who you are. It’s a strange feeling when a person who was so present can suddenly be gone.

She went on to say that everyone who knew him would remember the laughter and happiness he brought to others. He had a wonderfully infectious laugh, and his knack for creative leadership—combined with his ability to approach life with the enthusiasm of a child—was truly inspiring.
The “Play Date” singer concluded her message with her hopes for Tree in the afterlife.
“Goodbye, Oliver,” she said softly. “I imagine you’re already making everyone in heaven laugh with your playful spirit. I’ll always wonder what fun, new thing you’re up to.”
