Starry Studio and NetEase Games have launched a beta test for Once Human on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is available as a free download from both console’s online stores, and includes a large portion of the content players can expect in the final release.
The beta test will feature five scenarios: Novice, Manibus, Endless Dream, The Way of Winter, and RaidZone. Players in all scenarios except RaidZone will also be able to experience content from Visional Wheel S3: Aberrant Progeny. Please be aware that your progress won’t fully transfer to the final console version of Once Human. You’ll be able to carry over up to 6 Deviants, all Starchrom, and any cosmetics or outfits you’ve unlocked.
The studio has also relaunched its Console Closed Beta Feedback Event, giving players a chance to share their thoughts and suggestions. You can submit feedback at any time, but the event – which offers rewards for participation – ends on July 8th.

Starry Studio has made it easier to switch between gaming platforms for Once Human players. They’ve created a dedicated page where you can connect your Xbox or PlayStation account to your existing game account, and this will also streamline how you receive any in-game rewards.
Even simply playing the beta, without giving any feedback, earns you rewards! If you reach level 20 with just one character, you can pick from three outfits: Abyssal Dragon, Noise Manifesto, or Wasteland Sheriff. You’ll also get to choose one of these weapon skins: Dragon Dance (KAM), Reconstructed Matrix (AWS.33), or Gem Symphony (MG4). Players on RaidZone need to play for over 3 hours to qualify for these items.
Starry Studio revealed last year that Once Human is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. They haven’t announced an exact release date yet, but are currently targeting a launch sometime in 2026. The console versions will allow players on different platforms to play together, and will also support 4K graphics as well as keyboards and mice.
The full version of Once Human will let players on different devices (consoles, PCs, and mobile) play together. But in the current beta test, console players can only team up with other console players – they can’t play with those on PC or mobile yet. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players can play together during the beta.
Currently, Once Human is available on PC and mobile through Visional Wheel S4: Gravity Abyss. The developers at Starry Studio are consistently improving the game with frequent updates and new content.
