The long-awaited revival of “King of the Hill” on Hulu is just a day away from its premiere, and at last, we’ve gotten a glimpse of Kahn Souphanousiphone’s design for this new era. Since the series concluded its run with Fox fifteen years ago, it has undergone significant changes, and characters from the beloved original are returning, but noticeably older than ever before. While promotional content for the show has gradually unveiled each character’s updated appearance, a few have yet to be fully displayed due to various reasons.
For several months now, “King of the Hill” has been unveiling updated appearances for Connie and Minh ahead of its revival. However, Kahn had been conspicuously missing from these sneak peeks until recently, just before the full premiere of the new season. A clip from Season 14 of “King of the Hill” has finally disclosed Kahn’s fresh, aged design, as well as his new voice. You can watch it below.
Get ready, King of the Hill returns TOMORROW! Catch all ten episodes of the new season at 12am ET/9pm PT tonight on @hulu and stream it with #HuluOnDisneyPlus. Don’t forget to use #KingOfTheHill!

What’s Going on With Kahn in New King of the Hill?
Fans have finally gotten their first official glimpse of Kahn in the Season 14 premiere of “King of the Hill,” and his appearance leaves many wondering if this character will play a significant role or is being kept under wraps for some reason. So far, aside from a fleeting appearance during the opening credits that showcased his original design, Kahn has been conspicuously absent from the series. This could suggest either that he’ll be used infrequently compared to other characters, or that there’s a secret purpose behind keeping him hidden.
I, an observer, have noticed that the show “King of the Hill” has sparked speculation among fans regarding a possible rift between Kahn and Minh for the upcoming season. This speculation arises from their apparent disagreements depicted in the opening episodes and Kahn’s absence so far in promos and clips. However, this latest clip reveals Kahn back with Minh, continuing his tradition of mocking Hank. Could it be that my concerns about Kahn’s absence were unnecessary? Or perhaps there is still a surprise in store for us in the upcoming episodes.
How to Watch New King of the Hill
In the upcoming season of “King of the Hill,” Ronnie Chieng will take over the voice role from Kahn, replacing Toby Huss who was in the original series. Speaking about the updates to the cast between the initial show and its revival, showrunner Saladin K. Patterson shared with Entertainment Weekly that these changes were necessary due to societal shifts, as he mentioned, “Given that Hank and Peggy have been away for a while, the world has evolved slightly.” He further explained that casting choices have also adjusted over this period, noting that actors now better fit the characters they’re portraying.
Patternson shared that the “King of the Hill” team benefited greatly from having numerous enthusiastic show fans, such as Ronnie Chieng, who had grown up watching the series. Being a fan himself, he decided to join their team. As for the latest version of Kahn, we’ll find out soon enough, as the new season 14 of “King of the Hill” will be available on Hulu starting August 4th, with all ten episodes premiering at once.
