The long-awaited game, titled Battlefield 6, has officially been unveiled. What’s even more exciting is that it now has a confirmed release date: October 10th. Luckily, there’s no hefty $80 price tag attached to it. Additionally, an open beta will be available for players on August 9th and 10th, as well as from August 14th to 17th. This beta is touted as the largest Battlefield Open Beta ever!
While specific details about the game content remain unknown beyond mentioning multiple maps, modes, and features, as well as the inclusion of Closed Weapons (or class-specific firearms), DICE producer Alexia Christofi has confirmed that there will be a limited selection of weapons available initially. However, this reduced set will have fewer options than what players can expect at the game’s launch.
When “Battlefield 6” is launched, players will have access to over 40 different weapons. Initially, each weapon comes with a set number of attachments. However, as you progress and level up a particular weapon, additional attachment options become accessible. Moreover, Christofi hinted at the inclusion of more vehicles in the complete release, but specifics are still under wraps.
The upcoming game, titled Battlefield 6, will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers (unfortunately, a release for Nintendo Switch 2 is not yet in the works). You can find the PC specifications needed to run the game here. For more information about multiplayer features such as Portal, click here.
Absolutely, I can handle that! Initially, weapons will include some default accessories. However, as you advance, you’ll have the opportunity to unlock additional attachments for each weapon. 👍

During the preliminary stages, such as the reveal event and open beta, you’ll find a limited selection of weapons compared to what we’ll offer at the full launch. At launch, we’re planning to provide over 40 different weapons for your gaming experience!
