A$AP Rocky Reacts to Young Fan Asking If He and Rihanna Are Married

A$AP Rocky isn’t the only person thinking about forever.

The rapper, known as “Get Lit,” playfully responded to a student who wondered if he and Rihanna – parents to RZA, 3, Riot, 2, and 3-month-old Rocki – are married.

During his February 4th appearance on Celebrity Substitute, A$AP Rocky responded to a child’s question, then playfully asked if he’d prefer Rihanna as his teacher for the day. The child expressed his preference for Rihanna, and A$AP Rocky replied, “Well, you got me today.”

A$AP Rocky, age 37 (born Rakim Mayers), avoided answering a question about marriage, but happily shared that one of his children loves listening to music.

He shared that he exposes his children to a wide range of music, including classics like Michael Jackson and The Beatles, as well as psychedelic and reggae genres. He described his home as a very musical environment with diverse tastes, and he was discussing this while teaching a music theory lesson to students in Harlem.

This isn’t the first time Rihanna and her partner have commented on their children’s musical talent. Rihanna has previously shared that RZA and Riot can sing along, even when playing with toys.

She told TopMob News last July that both of her children are passionate about music. “It’s amazing,” she said. “I can’t tell who inherited the musical talent from more! I often ask Rocky, ‘Is that you, or is that me?’ Riot enjoys improvising raps, and that’s something he definitely gets from his father.”

It’s possible their son got a firsthand look at A$AP Rocky’s talent, as the rapper spent almost five years creating his new album, Don’t Be Dumb, which came out last month. Soon after the album’s release in January, he showcased some of the songs during his first appearance on Saturday Night Live.

As expected, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna, who have great chemistry together, continued the celebration after his performance at the show with an after-party. Rihanna’s support didn’t stop there – she also publicly congratulated him when his album reached the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

She excitedly announced on X (formerly Twitter) on January 25th that the father of her child had achieved a number one album! She followed up with a playful warning: “Don’t be silly!”

Rihanna recently shared how difficult it was to hide her pregnancy from her close friends. In an interview with Justin Sylvester, she explained that her friends noticed her changing habits – she stopped drinking and smoking, and started craving sweets, something she usually avoids. They questioned her, and eventually she revealed the news, shocking them just as much as the rest of the world.

After A$AP Rocky’s “D.M.B.” music video featured the phrases “Marry me?” and “I do” on his and Rihanna’s teeth, many fans speculated about an engagement. However, sources close to the couple told TMZ in May 2022 that they were not engaged at that time.

And baby makes three! Multiple outlets report that the couple welcomed a baby in Los Angeles.

She debuted her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.

The pair take the 2023 Met Gala together in honor of Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The couple recently had a baby boy named Riot, and a month later, they shared some family photos for the first time, showing all four of them together.

Rihanna confirmed her romance with A$AP began at the end of 2019. 

She explained in an interview published on April 9th that they were both familiar with each other’s romantic histories. Knowing how deeply they could affect each other – for better or worse – they approached dating very carefully, aware of the potential for both happiness and heartbreak.

Rihanna is expecting her third child! She announced the news just before attending the 2025 Met Gala.

Rihanna revealed she had a baby girl, named Rocki Irish Mayers, by sharing photos on Instagram. The pictures show Rihanna holding her newborn, playfully framed by a pair of pink boxing gloves.
