Even though Finn and Jake’s story in *Adventure Time* had a definitive ending, the adventures of Fionna and Cake continue. After the first season, which followed Fionna and Cake as they traveled through different universes, fans were eager to know what would happen next. Now, a new trailer for *Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake’s* second season has arrived, revealing that both the Huntress Wizard and another beloved character will be returning.
The second season of *Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake* will feature the return of Simon Petrikov, completing the original trio. The story will involve Fionna and Cake teaming up with Huntress Wizard to rescue Ooo’s most beloved hero. Simon, previously known as the Ice King, managed to overcome the crown’s control, but regaining his sanity didn’t solve all his problems. He found himself isolated in the Land of Ooo until Fionna and Cake offered him a fresh start.
Fionna And Cake’s Different Second Season
The second season of *Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake* will continue to explore the idea of multiple universes, but the story will primarily focus on Fionna’s own world. As seen in the first season, Fionna lives in a reality similar to ours, where she navigates everyday life in the city with various jobs. This world features human versions of familiar characters from the Land of Ooo.
Earlier this year, Adam Muto, the creator of the show, talked about the upcoming second season. While a release date hasn’t been announced yet, he explained that they aimed to focus most of the new adventures within Fiona’s world. He felt this would make things feel more grounded, even though, true to the spirit of *Adventure Time*, it would still be quite unusual.
New York Comic Con will feature exciting news about *Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake* next month. The panel will include a first look at season 2 of the HBO Max series, with executive producer Adam Muto and voice actors Madeleine Martin, Roz Ryan, and Ashly Burch. Fans can get an exclusive sneak peek at the new multiversal adventures!
Good news for fans! Besides the new Fionna and Cake series, there’s more Adventure Time on the way. Warner Bros. is currently developing several projects, including Adventure Time: Side Quests, Adventure Time: Heyo B-Mo, and a feature film, all designed to build out the world of Ooo.
