The long-awaited third season of Alice in Borderland is now officially set for release, so it’s high time to build up your anticipation!
The long-awaited third instalment will hit Netflix on 25th September.
The streamer shared a spine-tingling sneak peek to mark the announcement, featuring Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya), who are now husband and wife in reality, but continue to struggle with haunting memories and night terrors about Borderland.
One day, however, Usagi mysteriously disappears, guided by the afterlife investigator Ryuji. Meanwhile, Arisu receives the last card: the Joker.
Time will reveal what tricks the Joker has planned for them, and based on his nature, it won’t be something pleasant.
In season 3, a secretive scholar kidnaps Usagi and leaves her unconscious. As a result, Arisu ventures back into the dangerous Borderland to rescue her.
Working together with fresh teammates, they’ll need to confront an unknown level called the Joker’s domain in a desperate attempt to retrace their steps and return to their homeworld.
In my perspective as a movie critic, I find myself captivated by a chilling Japanese sci-fi production that unfolds the harrowing tale of a band of youths ensnared in a lethal game show set against an unnerving parallel universe of Tokyo. The second season’s climax leaves several characters meeting their untimely demise, leaving me on the edge of my seat and eager for more.

According to the manga written by Haro Aso, the show has become a massive success on Netflix, captivating and astonishing viewers with its spectacular action scenes.
Initially, the first two series adhered to the original comic book (manga), however, it ventured past the manga’s conclusion, which means there are many unresolved storylines and ambiguous plot points now.

We’re expecting it to now adapt elements of the two-volume sequel, Alice in Borderland: Retry.
One thing’s for sure – Borderland isn’t done with us yet.
