All 10 seasons of beloved superhero series arrive on Netflix nearly 15 years since its finale

Netflix just bought the rights to a hugely popular superhero TV show, and fans are really excited!

Now, streaming service subscribers can watch all ten seasons of Smallville, the show that tells the story of a young Superman.

The show, which originally ran from 2001 to 2011 on The WB and then The CW, stars Tom Welling as a teenage Clark Kent in Kansas. The series follows Clark as he uses his powers to stop crime while navigating the challenges of adolescence.

The show’s first five seasons follow Clark Kent as he navigates high school, experiencing first love with Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) and forming a friendship with Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) – a relationship that will eventually turn into a bitter rivalry.

The latter part of the story follows Kent as he begins his adult life, taking a job at The Daily Planet, the well-known newspaper from DC Comics.

We’re reintroduced to Lois Lane, played by Erica Durance, and Jimmy Olsen, played by Aaron Ashmore, as they work together to fight corruption in Metropolis.

Netflix is now offering the popular series to viewers in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, France, Italy, and Austria.

Back in 2011, Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling revealed they were working on an animated continuation of Smallville, hoping to have the original actors provide the voices.

Last year, show co-creator Alfred Gough explained on the Talk Ville podcast that Warner Bros.’ ongoing Superman reboot is unfortunately delaying any progress on their project. He indicated the company’s recent changes and focus on Superman are currently putting their show on hold.
