2026/27 IMAX Release Schedule Explained
This lineup has something for all DC fans. With Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and Superman: Man of Tomorrow coming out close together, it’ll be easy to follow the story and see how James Gunn is developing the DC Universe. Plus, The Batman 2 is almost here after a five-year wait, which feels like a major accomplishment.
Christopher Nolan’s new film, The Odyssey, is expected to receive many awards, despite some historical inaccuracies (like Matt Damon’s helmet). Filming in IMAX 70mm was a bold move, as only 16 US theaters can actually show movies in that format. However, Nolan is experienced with IMAX filming and understood the challenges involved.
