All Creatures Great and Small star thinks Tristan and Charlotte marriage could be on the cards after huge romantic scene

Tristan and Charlotte’s relationship is getting stronger and more developed in All Creatures Great and Small.

The couple connected immediately in season six of the historical drama, starting when he came to check on her favorite horse. From then on, every time they met went well, and he even managed to impress her father, despite their different social classes.

You can really see how strong their bond is when things get hard, suggesting they’re committed to each other for the long term.

This Christmas, Tristan struggles with flashbacks to his time in combat. He shares that he’s haunted by the terrible things he saw, especially the loss of his close friend, and can’t seem to escape those memories.

Even though he’s eager to enjoy the celebrations, he can’t seem to quiet the turmoil inside. Instead of distancing herself or telling him to tough it out, Charlotte stays supportive and softly encourages him to share what he’s feeling, understanding that talking about it will help him heal.

That was the moment everything clicked – it became clear they weren’t just looking for a fling, but a lasting relationship. Soon after, Tristan confessed his love for Charlotte at a Christmas tree farm, surrounded by beautiful fir trees, and she happily told him she loved him too.

They have a wonderful connection and clearly enjoy each other’s company. While that’s always been true, Tristan especially needs someone now who is kind, empathetic, and understands the difficult time he’s been having – and Charlotte is perfectly suited to provide that support.

She understands what Tristan is going through, having experienced difficult times herself. More than that, she’s a genuinely kind person who gives him the space and time he needs to heal and rediscover himself.

Woodhouse explained that Charlotte loves Tristan for who he is now, not for his past or any potential he might have.

“It’s really sweet, and it’s a joy to play with Gaia [Wise], who’s who plays it wonderfully.”

This makes you wonder: does Woodhouse believe Tristan and Charlotte might get married?

“I think so,” he nodded. “I think they’re a really great pair.”

He then drew a comparison between that relationship and the developing connection between Siegfried and Mrs. Hall.

He explained that fans are particularly invested in a potential romance between Siegfried and Mrs. Hall, despite their different backgrounds. It’s a popular pairing, and people are really hoping they get together.

Mrs. Hall manages the household, while Siegfried is the leader. This creates an unusual power dynamic.

With Tristan and Charlotte, the dynamic is flipped from Siegfried and Mrs. Hall – she comes from a very wealthy background, while he doesn’t. It’s interesting to see these two couples contrasted with each other.

I think Tristan and Charlotte have a really strong connection, and it would be cool to see how their relationship develops in the next season.
