The classic game Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater, originally released more than two decades ago, has been given a new lease of life. While much of the game remains the same as it was before, certain collectibles hidden within each level might be found in spots that players may not recall from their past encounters. In this guide, we’ll delve into the collectibles located within the level called Chyornyj>.
All Kerotans & Ga-kos Chyornaya Peschera in Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater
In the Chyornaya Peschera region, there are three distinct “maps” with each level of the cave holding unique collectibles to discover. To make your hunt easier, we’ll provide you with some “images of maps, which clearly indicate the locations of the “Ga-ko (orange)” and “Kerotan (Green)” within the area.
To start off, take a look at the provided map image to locate the collectibles within the region of the Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch.
The ‘Ga-ko’ is situated on some rocks right above the small waterfalls, and the ‘Kerotan’ can be found in a smaller cave that allows for crawling entry.
In my exploration of the intricate cave system, as I venture deeper, I’ll find myself in an area marked by a green check mark in the image below – that’s where you’ll spot the mysterious Kerotan suspended overhead. As you gaze towards where the cavern expands and sunlight filters through, your eyes will be drawn to a tiny green silhouette there. And guess what? That’s none other than the enigmatic Kerotan I’m talking about!
Likewise, the following “Ga-ko” can be discovered in a modest opening that allows sunbeams to pass through. After navigating a slender pathway along a rocky cliff and arriving at the terminus of this trail, you’ll find an ideal vantage point to observe a “Ga-ko” perched high above, within the hole from where sunlight emerges.
In the final stretch of the cave, you’ll come across another pair at the locations indicated on the map image below. Unlike the others, these are more exposed, making them relatively easier to locate.
Initially, the Kerotan is hidden off the main path in a secluded spot. To access this small area on your map, you’ll first have to disarm the landmines scattered around. Once you’ve made the area safe, turn around and look upwards. You should find the Kerotan perched atop the archway that serves as your entry point.
Near the end of your journey, when you reach the location marked with an orange check mark on the map, you’ll come across a significant crack or gap, which I call a “large fissure.” Hidden at the base of this fissure is a well-concealed object known as Ga-ko. Shooting it will reward you.
That wraps up our tour of this extensive cave network! Keep an eye out for items that may not be classified as traditional collectibles during your exploration. Don’t forget to peek into every hidden corner. In addition, there are several uniforms you can acquire within this area – one of them can even be unlocked by defeating a boss in battle.
