All Kerotans & Ga-kos Dremuchij in Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater

In my gaming world, I found myself stepping foot in Dremuchij for the first time during the Virtuous Mission of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. This place is where you can find a swag of collectibles – Kerotans and Ga-Kos, if you’re keeping track!

In simpler terms, Kerotans are the frog-shaped figurines from Metal Gear Solid 3 that have reappeared in the same spots as previous versions. Conversely, Ga-Kos are unique to Delta and are ducks donning ghillie suits. Upon spotting these toys, hit them to collect them. Collecting all of them will earn you trophies and grant access to some extraordinarily powerful new camouflages!

In this walkthrough, we will show you the locations for finding both ducks and frogs in Dremuchij during the opening storyline of the Virtuous Mission!

All Kerotans & Ga-kos in Dremuchij | Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Kerotan #1 and Ga-Ko #1

I’m excited to share that you can come across a pair of interesting collectibles on a rocky outcrop, situated in the east region of Dremuchij South. This spot is conveniently located northeast of the towering tree where you usually find your backpack after touching down.

Take a peek at the designated location indicated on your map, and there you’ll see the distinct landmarks, Kerotan and Ga-Ko, clearly visible. Go ahead and aim at them to register them as “collected”!

It seems like these could be your initial encounters with Kerotans and Ga-Kos. Taking them down will earn you not one, but two special trophies or achievements: the “Prince Charming” and the “Ugly Duckling”. Just a heads up, you can now track these creatures using your map. Once collected, they’ll show up as green dots (Kerotan) and yellow dots (Ga-Ko).

Ga-Ko #2

This silly duck is in the central part of the Dremuchij Swampland area, marked above.

Head towards that area and you’ll discover a dense cluster of trees right smack in the heart of the marsh. That’s where you’ll want to scrutinize the ground beneath those trees closely, as the elusive Ga-Ko is often found seeking refuge in their shade. Be cautious though, for the nearby American crocodiles, known locally as Indian gavials, can be quite territorial…

Kerotan #2

After finishing your expedition in the Dremuchij Swampland, head north along the path to move on to the next region. Keep an eye out while walking, particularly at the cliffside located to the northeast.

As you proceed along the path, you’ll spot the Kerotan on your right side. However, it’s off-limits for you, so feel free to take a shot at it and gather it up!

Ga-Ko #3

You can find this Ga-Ko in the northwestern corner of the Dremuchij North area.

Head over to that location to spot the Ga-Ko perched on the rocky ledge. Given its camouflage isn’t working well due to not adjusting to match the surroundings, take care to avoid a similar oversight, Snake.

Kerotan #3

The last Kerotan for this part of the game can be found at the northwest border of the Dremuchij North region.

Just head over there and you’ll come across a goofy Kerotan perched on a log from a big tree. Do keep an eye out for the guard in the vicinity though, as he’s patrolling regularly. Still, this Kerotan should be quite visible compared to others.
