Sarah Paulson, best known for her role in American Horror Story, has explained why she took a break from the show after appearing in all ten previous seasons. She’s returning for Season 13, but first shared the reasons behind her decision to step back for a while.
Sarah Paulson has described a strange experience she’s discussed with other actors. It’s difficult to explain unless you regularly spend months pretending to be terrified, as she does for her roles. She believes her body doesn’t distinguish between genuine fear and acting it out. When she portrays terror – hyperventilating and running – she actually feels those sensations as if they were real.
Despite not appearing in the last two seasons of American Horror Story, Sarah Paulson will be back for season 13. She’ll be joined by familiar faces like Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, and Angela Bassett.
Paulson expressed her excitement about returning to American Horror Story, saying she had missed it. She explained that the timing felt perfect, as her desire to rejoin the show coincided with the opportunity to work with the cast again.
Sarah Paulson Reunites With Ryan Murphy for All’s Fair on Hulu
Ryan Murphy continues his work with 20th Television, bringing his style to both FX and Hulu with the legal drama All’s Fair. The show features a star-studded cast including Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Glenn Close, and Sarah Paulson. Despite negative reviews, the show continued to move forward.
Hulu has ordered a second season of All’s Fair even before the first season finished airing. The season one finale, consisting of two episodes, aired on December 9th. The show stars an all-female cast playing lawyers who are strong, intelligent, and face personal challenges—including difficult breakups, hidden secrets, and changing loyalties—both at work and in their private lives.
In a cutthroat world of wealth and relationships, these women aren’t just participants – they’re rewriting the rules. The show’s creator, Murphy, previously discussed the origins of All’s Fair at the Los Angeles premiere.
My career, for the last two decades, has always begun with Dana Walden, and this show was no different. It all started with my desire to meet Kris and Kim Kardashian. Dana arranged a dinner, and I did something unusual for me – I presented a reality TV show idea.
Ariana Grande will appear in Season 13 of the show. She previously worked with Ryan Murphy on his series Scream Queens. Ryan Murphy’s production company announced the full cast list on Instagram.
American Horror Story Season 13 is set to debut just in time for Halloween 2026.
