It seems like Nintendo is planning upgraded versions of almost all their popular Switch games for the new Switch 2 console. These updates usually focus on better graphics and smoother gameplay, and often add features like mouse support and voice chat. While some games, like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, get a few exclusive features for the new console, one recently announced third-party upgrade is surprisingly packed with improvements – and it’s a game I didn’t expect to see get a Switch 2 version at all.
I regularly play Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer, a 2024 game that uses motion controls to help you work out. I was surprised to learn a version for the new Nintendo Switch 2 is coming out! The developer, Imagineer, recently announced some exciting new features that will be included in the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Fitness Boxing 3, which will be available worldwide on July 16th.
Fitness Boxing 3 is Getting a Serious Glow-Up with Its New Switch 2 Edition

The official @FitBoxingInfo account just announced Fitness Boxing 3 for the new Switch 2. They’re calling it a significantly improved workout experience, and it looks like one of the biggest upgrades for the console so far. As you’d expect, the game will have better graphics to take advantage of the Switch 2’s more powerful hardware. This is the first Switch 2 game from Imagineer, and they’re making a strong impression.
The Switch 2 version of the game will include new features for all skill levels. Players seeking a tougher workout can try “Boost Up Mode,” which increases the speed to a challenging level. Those wanting more precise gameplay can enable “Advanced Judgment Mode” for detailed feedback on their punches. And for players who prefer to play while seated, a new “Chair Mode” will be available. You can see all these new features in the official trailer.
The Switch 2 version of Fitness Boxing 3 will include new ways to play and connect with others. Players can now use a USB camera to see themselves while boxing, helping them check their technique. The updated game will also better integrate GameChat, letting friends compete in 4-player battles to determine who’s the best boxer.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Fitness Boxing 3 will be available globally on July 16th. In Japan, it will cost ¥7,678, which is about $50. If you already have the Switch version, you can upgrade to the Switch 2 version for ¥1,100 – around $7. Official prices for the U.S. haven’t been announced yet, but we expect to hear them closer to the release date.
