In Fields of Aaru, you’ll experience the afterlife of ancient Egypt, living a new life along the Nile River. Eventually, you can explore the desert to discover ancient ruins, tombs, and long-lost secrets.

Key Features

  • Befriend the Locals – Meet the villagers, take on quests, and help restore the town. Get to know the people of Aaru and lend a hand through quests that fix up the town and bring daily life back into rhythm. Along the way you’ll learn ancient crafts like shaping stone, firing clay, and irrigating your fields.
  • Harvest the Nile’s Bounty – Build your daily routine around farming, fishing, and gathering. Plant crops in fertile soil, cast a line in the Nile, and head out to gather raw materials you’ll need for tools and building. Use irrigation and shadufs to bring water to new fields. Dig canals, shape the land, and expand what you can grow.
  • Venture Into the Desert – Step beyond the Nile’s reach and cross the sands to discover hidden oases, ruins, and ancient tombs. Carry water and look for shade as you head into the open desert. Search for oases, explore ruins, and descend into tombs to uncover rare materials and lost knowledge buried beneath the sand. What you bring back changes what you can craft and build back along the Nile.
  • Appease the Gods – Make offerings to the gods to earn blessings and unlock new powers. Uncover shrines scattered across the world and bring offerings to earn the gods’ favor. Each god offers their own set of boons. Ptah empowers your tools and craftwork, Hapi speeds up crop growth and makes harvests more bountiful, and Sekhmet grants protection and combat prowess for the desert and its dangers.
  • Discover New Lands – Cross the Nile to reach new regions with brand-new landscapes, mysteries, and treasures. Leave the familiar riverbanks behind and explore new lands where the sands turn white and pyramids rise from the horizon. Restore ancient obelisks to awaken their power, creating new ways to travel between distant regions.
